Dominican Design Salon is a beauty salon at 268 S Decatur Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada. The salon is associated with owner and hairstylist Maggie, whom customers describe as dedicated to her craft and attentive to the people she serves. For locals looking for hair care in Las Vegas, or visitors who want to find a salon while in town, this address offers a place to discuss a style and the needs of their hair. Customer feedback reflects a range of experiences, so it is sensible to explain your preferences clearly before a service begins and ask any questions that matter to you.
Reviews mention Dominican blowouts, blow-drying, roller sets, trims, and deep conditioning. One customer with naturally curly hair said Maggie helped improve the condition of hair that had become dry and brittle, while its curl pattern remained when wet. That account may be especially relevant if you enjoy a smooth, straight finish but want to keep your natural texture in mind. Other feedback describes visits for a wash and set, a trim, conditioning, and styling. These are customer-reported examples, not a guarantee that every service or result will be right for every person; hair texture, length, condition, and styling goals all matter.
The salon has a 4.7-star rating based on 107 reviews. Several customers praise Maggie’s professionalism, creativity, and respectful approach, and describe feeling welcomed. Reviews also include a dissatisfied account involving a requested curly style, color concerns, and the final result. Reading both positive and critical feedback can help set realistic expectations. Before you begin, consider discussing the finish you want, how your hair behaves when wet, and any concerns about its current condition. Clear communication is particularly useful when choosing between a Dominican blowout and a style intended to preserve or define curls.

When I moved my hair went through major changes. Super dry, brittle, and braking. I found Maggie and she changed everything. Im naturally curly hair, but I enjoy a good Dominican blow out. Maggie helped me get my hair back a healthier state. My curly hair is still curly when it gets wet, but its super beautiful when it's blown out by her!!! The salon is really nice with calm vibes. She gets you in and out, her time schedule is impeccable! 10 starts if I could give it! I 100% recommend

Maggie is the best hairdresser! My hair has a testimony with Maggie. I came from Georgia to Vegas & thought I would search from a beautician off the internet. Well, I found one & when I tell you I was ok with her services @ the beginning. …
My hair was a gift. I needed a trim deep conditioner roller set blow dry and bone straight style. They billed $90. I was totally disappointed. I requested curly hair which was fish hooks through out my hair. My gray was still yellow. I have fish hooks throughout my hair all over. A lady washed my hair that didn’t speak English. Soft hands, did not wash around the neck line after conditioning. My deep conditioner was under a dryer for about 10-15 minutes. Maggie seemed to rush my experience not combining through all the parts b4 flat ironing my curls that were 1/2 curled with fish hooks throughout my whole head. I told her 3x I don’t like it. She made excuses for it saying it was my small spot where hair doesn’t grow. Then she sprayed the rest of the uncurled hair and tucked in into the rest of my hair. Made excuses and blamed me. She said she would have to re wet it to just flat iron me. She took no responsibility and nobody understood when I left there why I paid so much for something that look like I did it at home. Not the Dominican hair service I’m used to. I’m tired. The service story can go on but bum tired. I will never go here again. I wasted $90. Save your $$. My hair itches. It’s ugly. I told her. She said after running outta excuses “why you wait till I was done to say something “. I told her you started in the back I thought we were working on my request. I had no idea we were done when you finished. I asked her to recurl the top that was not curly at all she did it was still straight. I can go on. I will never go here again. I’m embarrassed and receiving derogatory comments about my hair in public.
I was visiting Vegas and looking for a place to wash and set my hair, but due to the texture and length and of my hair a few places I checked out they had a “wow” look when they saw my hair. With a little more research we came across …
