Vehicle inspections are among the services customers mention most often. Reviewers describe being fit in for an inspection, including on a Saturday, and say the team was able to schedule follow-up work promptly when additional needs came to light. One first-time visitor also brought a car in for an inspection and oil change, then received a call when the work was finished. These experiences make the shop a useful choice for drivers who appreciate timely updates and help understanding what their vehicle may need, without assuming that every repair can be handled on the spot.

Customers also mention fast work and fair pricing, with one longtime customer saying they have brought their car to Don for more than 15 years. Another reviewer appreciated that Don took a look at a check engine concern and recommended going to another shop rather than taking on work he did not think he should perform. That account suggests a willingness to be direct about whether the shop is the right fit for a particular issue. For vehicle owners, an honest recommendation can be just as useful as a repair, especially when deciding what to do next.

The atmosphere comes across as friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. Visitors mention a welcoming person at the front desk, helpful staff in the shop, and a team that made an inspection feel comfortable, even for someone new to Philadelphia. Located on Passyunk Avenue, the shop may suit nearby residents, commuters, and local drivers who want a neighborhood repair business for routine needs and inspections. Some reviewers note that navigating around the shop took a little figuring out, so first-time visitors may want to plan their arrival with that in mind.

Don's Auto Repair is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; it is closed Sunday. The Saturday hours may be helpful for customers balancing work and weekday errands, while the weekday schedule offers daytime availability for service visits. Came here for my inspection and they were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday. They also let me know of some other work that needed taken care of and they got me in quickly for that as well. The team here is great and easy to communicate with. They seem very fair with pricing, and they're professional and friendly. It's also in a great area to walk around while your car is being serviced.

Had a fantastic experience getting vehicle inspected! Helpful, nice and funny! As someone new to Philly the navigation around the shop was a little fun, but not insurmountable. Totally fantastic people.

I came here to get my check engine light looked at and was willing to pay thousands to get it fixed. Don came out looked at my car and said he wasn't going to touch it and take it to another shop. I decided then and there to just DIY fix it myself. Simple $20 part after relatively easy diagnosis made me lose faith in this shop. If I could figure it out in a day or two why cant you? Now I will do all my own work.

Fantastic! Went today for the first time for an inspection and oil change and I can't say enough great things. Cassandra at the front was so friendly as were the men in the shop. I dropped it off at 8:45a and they were done (and called me) by 10:30a. Such a great experience.
