I had the vegan pho with beef broth. It was decent but not outstanding; the chili oil was nice touch. The service was friendly, but I prefer table service instead of having to carry my pho myself. I appreciated the clean condiments and the cute decor, and I loved the coffee bar too.

I held out for a while before trying Downtown Pho LA because I had read a lot of mixed reviews. Unfortunately, I ended up agreeing with many of the lower-rated reviews. I stay nearby often and was really hoping this would become my go-to walking-distance spot whenever I craved pho, which made the experience even more disappointing. I ordered the pho and was disappointed with the flavor. The broth lacked the rich, beefy, authentic taste you expect from good pho. Instead, it tasted watered down, almost like instant noodle seasoning with too much water added. The wide noodles were a nice touch, but they were overcooked and soggy. The banh mi was also mediocre. The bread tasted like it had been taken straight out of the fridge and assembled without being properly toasted. A good banh mi should have warm, crispy bread on the outside, but this one felt cold and stale.

Lovely place, awesome food. Wish they open everyday though.. they're closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Will come back again to try other dishes besides pho. My chicken fried rice takeout was fire too!

Downtown LA Pho stands out as the perfect spot if you crave authentic Vietnamese Pho right in the heart of the financial district of DTLA. The pho and soup base boast delightful flavors. The staff is exceptionally friendly, providing great service, and the portion sizes are satisfying. However, it's crucial to manage expectations and avoid comparing the food here to the offerings in San Gabriel Valley or Little Saigon area. -1 star for the pricing, but considering the prime location and convenience, it's understandable. I'll certainly return when in the financial district of DTLA and in the mood for Pho. Quick tip: You can find Downtown LA Pho inside the City National Plaza's food court, located on the bottom floor of the plaza.

Really fast service. Good food. Not greasy. Clean and delicious! Folks that work there are super friendly. So no glad they are downstairs from where I work so I can get my fix for bahn mi, bun, and pho.
