I have been going to Dr. Thai for about 3 years now, and my teeth have never been better. She and her team have done an amazing job at being transparent about what could be improved with my dental health and what I need to do on my own to change things. Growing up, I was never taught to floss, and I saw a revolving door of dentists at Western Dental (in my home town) who would just find cavities to drill and fill and never tried to help me actually improve my dental health. Not flossing well (if at all!) will put you on the road to gingivitis (which I've gone through before; don't recommend 😜), and when I first started seeing Dr. Thai, she could absolutely tell that I didn't do it well. She gave me a heart to heart talk about why it's important and that she understood that having Asian immigrant parents meant it was likely I never learned to do; I think later a hygienist gave me tips on how to floss better. Now, they never find plaque when I get my checkups. Also, Kelly is hilarious and so fun to talk to; she makes every appointment a good one. ☺ The front desk folks are also so prompt, friendly, and accommodating. I am so grateful that I could have such a positive experience with a dentistry practice!

Everyone from the receptionist, to the dental hygienists, and dentists here are great! Kelly, the hygienist, is so friendly and gentle with the cleaning. My teeth feel super clean! Both Dr. Thai and Dr. Bryan are very passionate about their job, friendly and very thorough! Dr. Bryan was great about explaining my dental health to me and knowledgeable about current dentistry/able to answer my questions really well. I highly recommend this spot for your dental needs!

I used to see Doctor Bistrain who was a great dentist, unfortunately he retired and sold his practice to Dr Thai, so I went to see her. I was with the dental hygienist when someone came in behind me and started talking to the hygienist, I turned around and asked if that was the doctor, and she was, however she ignored me and made no effort to talk or connect with me, first red light, I like for my doctors to at the very least acknowledge me, instead of avoiding me. After my cleaning the Doctor came in and talked some more with the dental hygienist, then still without introducing herself or asking me any questions about who I was or why was I there (very basic preamble) she told me that she could cure my sleep apnea by doing what sounded like a very complicated orthodontist procedure which included screwing an artificial tooth in my jaw. I thought the whole thing was extreme and besides neither one of my ex dentists had ever said anything like this, but out of curiosity I asked her to check if my insurance would cover it. She checked and my insurance would not cover, it was a four thousand plus dollars procedure. I did not do it of course. I also ordered a mouth gard that the office forgot to order, several months later I asked about it, they had forgotten and I told them to just forget about it. Dr Thai needs to make money, so she likes to do unnecessary, complicated, expensive procedures. SHE IS A SCAMMER!! Do your self a favor and look for another dentist.

The star given here was not earned. If there was a way to give them less I would. Brian Duhn was the unprofessional, arrogant, socially illiterate person who demonstarted poor judgement, crossed an ethical and perhaps legal line in the course of his dealings with me on Wed, January 25, 2023 at approximately 3:30pm PST. I put up with his verbal insults during the cleaning and waited extensively while he worked with three patients at the same. While he was out of the room the second time, I gathered my belongings. When He returned I advised him that I needed to leave. Ignoring my assertion and blocking the only exit Brian Duhn refused to allow me to leave the dental office. He proceeded to launch into a speech about toothbrushing. I asked him for a device I had brought with me so that I could leave. Again he ignored my desire to leave and continued to block the exit until he finished his speech and demonstration. What Brian Duhn did to me yesterday was not simply wrong. He violated my rights and may have broken the law. I have filed a police report with the Berkeley Police Department, will file a complaint with the State Board and hope to see the Brian Duhn does not treat any other person the way he treated me on Wed. 1/25/23. I recommend finding another dental office.

Dr. Thai’s office is accommodating for my entire family. She and her staff are able to provide treatment without causing my children to cry and that is huge for us. It’s almost a major plus that she can see all four of us on the same day.
