I have been going to Dr. Lisa Chan for probably 15+ years. She has always given me excellent care and truly listens to me in my appointment time. She also saved my Mom's life, in my opinion after she had open heart surgery at the age of 80. The surgery was performed by a Cardiologist in the Memorial Herman network. When she had complications after of being nauseated 24/7 and was losing weight, I talked to multiple doctors, including a Gastroenterologist. All of the doctors I took her to were male and all basically took the attitude that she was 80 years old and what did I expect? Really, I expect you to get to the bottom of it. I took her in to see Dr. Chang, who sat patiently and listened to me. Explain what my mom had gone through since her open heart surgery and how worried I was that I was going to lose her because she kept losing weight and couldn't eat. Dr.Chan reached over and put her hand on my arm and said "We can fix this", and fix it she did. First she put my mom on a nausea medication. Within two days my mom's nausea stopped. Then she put her on an appetite stimulant so that my Mom would feel hungry again. Within another two days, my mom literally said "I think I want some enchiladas." I was dumbfounded and said "well let's go get you some." it was at this point Dr. Chan took her off of both medications and Mom moved forward from that point and began gaining her weight back. That gave me another eight years with my precious mom. I will always be grateful to Dr. Chan for how she listened and cared about helping us. Dr. Chan has always been spot on in any diagnosis that I have had and has also referred me to excellent specialist when need be. I would recommend Dr. Chan to anyone at any point. When Dr. Chan has been out for a day, I have also seen Dr. Tom and Dr. Mike, both which have been excellent as well. The staff is also very attentive and friendly.

My father has been going to Dr. Chan for many years. It's sad to see that Dr. Chan did not give my father the proper care. She was negligent on the medication she had prescribed him which has caused a rollercoaster of problems with his health. Never would follow up with blood work just refill medications to basically shut him up and get him out of the office. My father was prescribed medication that was impending his diabetes. It's very upsetting and I hope this is not her ongoing treatment she gives to other patients! Thankfully his insurance no longer is in her network and now we are on a better path with physicians that are concerned with his health and well being!

The WORST place for healthcare! I go in for a lump on my arm and saw the physician assistant, Martin. He looked and didn’t say much and brought in Dr. Nguyen. They both looked and confidently Dr. Nguyen said he feared it was a blood clot and advised to have an Ultrasound and CT of chest STAT. Already having anxiety they then asked why my pulse was so high?! Ummm I don’t know? Maybe because y’all are making it seem like im dying?!! I then go to the front and have them schedule me.. the lady was very sweet (I have to mention) she tried to get me in ASAP for CT but my insurance wasn’t going to allow me to go ASAP and I was advised to go to ER or urgent care to be seen so I can have it done ASAP. I left there in full panic mode straight to have an ultrasound crying and crying. I then get a call from Martin that he will let me know what the results are as soon as they get in that day. I went to ER/Urgent care and explained my situation and the Dr. checked me thoroughly and said there is no way it’s a blood clot!! You do not have the symptoms and the appearance of the lump is not one of a blood clot. He advised me to wait n the CT and see what the ultrasound says. I go home and I never received a phone call.. I stayed up all night scared. I get a phone call from the Asian lady (forgot her name) who I believe makes the calls to patients regarding results for her to tell me that good news everything is negative. I told her I had anxiety the entire time since I left the appointment! She laughed! Yes laughed!!! And I ask well then what is it and what do I do? She says to me “you’re a difficult case” oh because I’m allergic to shellfish and I don’t just do random CT scans for nothing? I asked for Martin to call me or for them to direct me if what to do and she said she will ask and either Martin or herself will call me, I asked will it be today? She said yes.. it’s day 4 and I have yet to hear back! It was a mistake to go there! The front desk girls were nice but the Dr, Martin and that Lady? No! If you are looking for good healthcare, this isn’t the place.
