Dr. Truong H Nguyen is an internist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 533 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147. For people looking for an internal medicine physician in the Philadelphia area, the available information offers a starting point for deciding whether this practice may fit their needs. The listing identifies the provider and address, but does not describe specific services, insurance plans, appointment procedures, or the length of visits. Patients with questions about those details should confirm them directly with the office before making plans. As with any medical decision, consider your own needs and preferences when choosing a clinician, and ask questions if you are unsure whether a provider is appropriate for your situation.

The listed office hours are Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The office is listed as closed Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. These limited weekly hours may be useful to review when arranging a visit, especially if you need a particular day or time. The available information does not confirm whether appointments are required, whether walk-ins are accepted, or whether the schedule changes on holidays. Contact the office to verify current hours and ask what to expect before visiting. The listed address places the practice on Washington Avenue in Philadelphia, which can help patients check the location and plan their trip.

Public feedback is mixed, and the listed rating is 2.4 out of 5 based on 33 reviews. Some reviewers describe positive experiences, including one who praised a quick and precise diagnosis and another who noted that Dr. Nguyen speaks both Vietnamese and English. Other reviewers raise serious concerns about communication, clinical judgment, prescription decisions, and the amount of time spent waiting; one reviewer reported a six-hour wait. These are individual accounts rather than a complete picture of care, and patient experiences can differ. Still, the range of comments is relevant context for anyone comparing internists in Philadelphia. Consider discussing your expectations about communication, scheduling, and follow-up when contacting the office.

This practice may be worth considering for patients seeking an internist at a Philadelphia address and, for Vietnamese-speaking patients, the review mentioning Vietnamese and English may be useful context to verify directly. The listing does not provide details about particular conditions treated, diagnostic services, or care for specific age groups, so do not assume those offerings without asking. Before an appointment, confirm that the office is accepting patients, check the current schedule, and clarify any practical questions that matter to you. Dr. Truong H Nguyen is located at 533 Washington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147; reviewing the available information and weighing the varied patient feedback can help you decide whether to contact the office.

In my experience last week I can tell dr.Troung is a great doctor with fast & precisely diagnose ! Kudos doctor ! Thank you ! The thing that needs to be improved is the adjustable waiting time.I had to wait for 6hrs before diagnose ! Thats almost unbearable for sick people to wait !

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This man is not a good doctor, he doesn’t care about his patients and has poor clinical judgment. He doesn’t care what he prescribes and instead of triaging patients to consult services that better fit a patient’s needs and concerns- he prescribes high risk medications with no clinical backing. I was fortunate enough to be able to help my dad and mom access better healthcare services but the underserved population of non English speaking patients do not have that luxury and still have to resort to this quack.

This doctor is terrible! He rather have you die then write a prescription out for you. He shouldn’t be a doctor, he doesn’t even want to listen to your problems! He just pushes you off to his receptionist and the receptionist tells you to talk to the doctor, like who can I talk to? I just need my uncle prescription to be filled correctly! If you want to die this is the doctor for you! If you want quality care I advise you to find another doctor. It’s to the point we’re about to seek legal action. He needs to have his medical license removed.

Hello, I’m here to write that this man is the best doctor in Philly. He is bilingual, he speaks Vietnamese and English very well. I don’t know why this man has a bad rep but I’ll say that he is very good and tries to assist all patients …

If I could give this place zero stars, I sure would in a heartbeat. This doctor has two locations and my grandmothers are both frequent patients at the Rising Sun office. This place is MONEY HUNGRY. They do not care about professionalism, they disregard your appointment times because they just want to see as many patients as possible, no matter what. You wait for hours on end with an appointment, and they also do walk-ins which is even crazier because they wait even longer! The big girl at the front desk is beyond rude, she's an awful resceptionist and is very unbothered with whatever you have to say. They shut you down when you have a question, they barely answer the phone when you call for whatever reason, and they give you looks the moment you step foot in their office. My grandmothers are Vietnamese natives, and like many other natives in the area, they visit this office solely for the purpose of being able to communicate with their doctor in their native language which I completely understand but these people deserve better healthcare assistance especially when it comes to seeing their primary doctor and much better health professionals who WANT to help and make their lives easier not more difficult. These people are a joke and so is this practice. Everyone who works for Dr. Truong should reevaluate why they're in this field because this is not how you address patients let alone PEOPLE who take an entire day off to wait for hours to be seen for less than 15 minutes by a bunch of jerks. Get it together or don't practice!
