The wings and tacos were excellent! Great blend of flavors. Have to come back for the banh-mi!
I've been waiting for a fun tasty place to become a regular at, and Dragon Cactus is it. Plus I've tried the Hibiscus and Lychee mocktails and they are so good. Great staff as well, Catalina was attentive and knowledgeable.
So good! Chicken rice bowl and fish tacos were bomb. Try the spicy sauce
Came here for lunch with a friend. It’s an Asian-Mexican fusion spot on East Colfax, and the lunch special is a good deal: three tacos plus a beer for $12.99. Hard to argue with that in Denver right now. We both got the same lineup: al pastor, carne asada, and chicken. All three were distinctly average. The carne asada is done bulgogi style, which is a fun idea, but the flavor was overpowering. It tasted like too much marinade, and the beef got lost underneath it. The pastor was my favorite of the three, and it was still just OK. The chicken was chicken. This place is sitting at a perfect 5.0 right now. I’m not seeing it, at least not on the tacos. A lot of the other reviews are talking about the banh mi, so maybe that’s where the kitchen is actually putting its effort. Lhis location has been a revolving door of restaurants for a while. Hopefully they figure it out, because the price is right and the concept has potential. Right now the deal is doing more work than the food. If I’m nearby at lunch and want a cheap taco and a beer, sure. I wouldn’t seek it out for the tacos. Might come back to try the banh mi.
