Drip Vietnamese Cafe

Drip is maybe the best place to get a "sweet treat" coffee or tea that I've found, tucked in the north end of Chinatown. They specialize in very high quality, luxurious feeling Vietnamese iced beverages with rich foams and colorful layers and they end up being both delicious and fun to look at. I have ordered both their signature "drippy" iced coffee which is topped with coffee jelly and salted foam, and pictured in the review is their banana latte which I also thoroughly enjoyed. What impresses me the most is that although these are certainly sweet dessert-type drinks, they are remarkably well-balanced against intense coffee flavor and work well overall. A sideshow to their drinks is their food, which is still pretty good. I got their crispy pork bahn mi and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fresh and vibrant, had the right amount of pate, and the pork was decent. Also, they have cookies at the counter for sale which are surprisingly excellent. The cafe itself is cute and clean with a handful of seats and tables that many people will spend time studying or working in. The main downsides of Drip are that its schedule is odd, open usually from only 9AM to 5PM... meaning it's too late to go to before work and closes too early to stop by afterwards. I guess that means I'm probably not their target demographic, even if I'd like to be! It's also pricey, with most drinks starting in the $7-$8 range, so it feels more like a special treat than a regular stop. But wow it's delicious!

⭐️ such a great neighbourhood spot! ✨ I’ve been visiting since it first opened. Honestly I have not been a super big fan of the fun-flavored drinks but I do always encourage other people to try like the banana or the “oob” ube. Their signature is just that: refreshing, rich and what keeps us coming back. Definitely recommend! Also love that they have been renovating and learning from moving the ordering spot to the back to encourage flow, and the mini updates to the decor including coasters! ⭐️ Service: great as always! Nichole was super sweet and helpful — I ordered two drinks for friends and she even made me a mini sampler of the banana latte to try ❤️ 🕯️ Atmosphere: a nice little stop to grab a drink. Just size-wise and closeness of tables, I wouldn’t stay to work but it’s a great spot to meeting spot.

I visited on Mother’s Day and it was soo busy, yet we got our drinks super quick! We got the “drippy” and OMG so yummy!!!!! The coffee is really strong, the perfect sweetness, and the perfect amount of foam and grass jelly too. I really wanna come back and try all their other menu options.

This is a pretty cute cafe. The coffee was really good, it's a little sweeter than would like, but it wasn't too sweet. I went in a little before they opened but were still nice about it and served me anyway. Highly recommend the coffee here.

Charming cafe that's inviting. Great drinks with unique combinations. Quick service and polite staff. Original coffee has that distinctive Vietnamese coffee flavor - not from packets.
