Sign in to reviewThe sandwich tastes really good! No. 7 is my favorite — grilled pork with egg. One thing to note is that the mayonnaise in the sandwich is made with raw eggs. This shop doesn’t just sell sandwiches; they also offer other Vietnamese snacks. No. 19 is my husband’s favorite — Vietnamese braised beef served with a Vietnamese baguette, and it’s absolutely delicious! Parking is convenient and easy. On weekends, it takes about 45 minutes from lining up to getting your food.
I liked the banh mi as much as people promised. It's takeout only, order inside then join the hoard of people outside waiting to pick up at the window. The vegetarian banh mi is stuffed with well seasoned mix of mushrooms, tofu skin, and I think wheat gluten. It was very flavorful. And of course the bread is first rate with a most satisfying crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. Order ahead if you don't like waiting.
Visited Duc Huong for the first time. The place was packed with customers. They had a good system of ordering with multiple registers inside and food pickup outside. Staff was friendly and efficient. Sandwiches did take a bit long to be ready, but understandable with the amount of customers. Bahn Mi were fair priced and delicious. (tried grilled pork as well as the cold cut combo). I recommend giving them a try.
This was my first time there and I was very surprised. There is no inside seating so don't let the long scare you, order and pay on the phone, wait 20 minutes go to the small window in front to pick up your order, I had the #5, large BBQ pork sandwich it a good size serving, the BBQ pork was sliced, not shredded and it was good. I'm going back soon.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Duc Huong and this particular location is my go-to. I frequent here quite often and have even gotten my work girlies to fall just as in love. Periodically, I stop by prior to work and grab my girlies' they orders outta the kindness of my heart. Great, right?? The 2 stars given is strictly because my order almost ALWAYS have some kind of discrepancy. Whether I order in Vietnamese or English, there's always an issue. Some issue in particular are: 1) NO MAYO 2) NO PEPPERS 3) REQUEST FOR EXTRA VEGGIES. On multiple occasions, peppers are present and the extra veggies that are paid for were skimpy. The worst thing is the staff including mayo when the the request clearly states not to. Normally this wouldn't be too big of an issue had the recipient not have an allergy!!!! AN ALLERGY!!! This is still my go-to location but proper food handling is definitely a must when it comes to people's wants, needs, and allergy requirements. Be kind, be apologetic, and SIMPLY DO BETTER!!!
