Duc Huong Sandwiches

Duc Huong Sandwiches, San Jose (Story Rd) Long line as expected but it does by fast since there are 3 cashiers. The problem now is the wait, expect at least 25 minutes or more for your sandwiches to be prepared if you ordered a lot, especially if you ordered Buy 4 Large Get 1 Large free and veggies on the side. They also sell those Vietnamese Meat Pies but they are sold out quick too. I usually get the #2 Cold Cut Banh Mi, they’re very generous with the large portions. The Vietnamese butter and pâté in the sandwiches are so delicious! The number system isn’t in order since there’s 3 cashiers taking orders, also, some numbers are skipped too so it would be a good idea to remember who was in front of you when you are lining up and ordering.. lol Would come back again! 😋

We tried this place recently, and overall, I’d give it around 4 stars (my partner would say 4.5). The food was quite good … our bánh mìs were flavorful with fresh pickled veggies and great bread. The meat quality was solid, and we left pretty satisfied after ordering a large. That said, be prepared for the logistics. It’s strictly order-and-pick-up, no seating, and the area outside isn’t the cleanest, with some homeless individuals around. Parking is tight. The service took our order quickly, but we waited about 40 minutes for the food after waiting 15 minutes just to order. Next time, we’ll call ahead. They didn’t pick up the phone time, but we’ll keep trying to call to order ahead so we don’t spend an hour on the process. Overall, good food! Just plan for some time!

I just had the spicy Korean pork Banh Mi and it was absolutely incredible! The flavors were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. I’ve tried a lot of places, but this is officially my new favorite spot for Banh Mi sandwiches. The bread was freshly baked, the ingredients were high-quality, and the service was great. I’ll definitely be coming back again. You have a customer for life.

Delicious sandwiches best in town. Try the #7 with garlic bread. They sell baguettes as well and come out fluffy from their oven. I recommend calling prior to arrival to place your order and pick up . There is usually lots of people outside the door. It is a Must try!

Ordered 3 small banh mi sandwiches and it took soooo long to be served. I understand that there are many orders but we were told it would be a 10-15 min wait (it took about 30 mins). Apart from that the banh mis were actually so good LOL I’d still come back. We tried the grilled chicken and the fish cake. Would recommend getting the smaller size
