Dynamic serviced my first generation Lexus is200t when it was newly out of “service contract” with the dealer. I couldn’t believe how quickly, and efficiently, they completed the job. They’re very knowledgeable, offer great value and a high quality of service, and most importantly desired in a mechanic: honest.

Very low mile Lexus GS300 had P0440 0441 0446 Evap faults which held up smog inspection. Researching the net I suspected the plastic Overflow Valve on top of the gas tank had cracked and leaked. No way could I remove all structural and moving parts then drop the gas tank to replace it. Had a lot of problems, wasting months and hundreds dollars with Jose at Radiator Depot on Westminster and a mobile mechanic to install a new canister and purge valve per Jose's recommendation, since he had no time to do it. All that work did not solve the problem. It was very time consuming and frustrating. Cops were hassling me for the expired tag. Finally on recommendation from a guy in Club Lexus, brought it in to Mr Son at Dynamic Auto Repair in Fountain Valley, CA. He charged $100 for diagnostics applicable to repairs in his shop. He used to be a tech for Lexus dealer and has a sophisticated diagnostic computer system to operate and test various Evap components. After 20 minutes, he found a very small leak on top of the Overflow Valve, which would be very difficult to detect with smoke machines. The Evap canister was very likely good. I had bought OEM overflow valve and gasket. Left the car to him. Next day he called and said, valve replaced, problems fixed. He also replaced gratis plastic vent hoses broken by the mobile mech and the substandard hoses at the purge valve on top of the engine, which were incorrectly installed by Radiator Depot. He charged about 30% less than a Lexus dealer quote. I suspected Lexus would likely jack up the costs even higher after I bring the car to them. During the drive home, all OBDII monitors were cleared. Car passed smog the next day. Son is a competent, nice, honest, helpful guy, worth a 5 star. All other shops in OC have gotten 1 or 2 stars. One even sabotaged my car and was reported to police and DMV. Highly recommend Dynamic. Will come back to him with my Lexus to save money, time, headache with other shops.

Son a very detail Master mechanic. When you bring your car in, he will tell you if it needs to be replace or fix and send you home. When he fixed something he will tell you ahead. I brought all my family members' cars to his place.

Son and Norman are the absolute best. Friendly and easy to deal with and they really go out of their way to help. I have only been going to them for a few years, but I would never go anywhere else with my Lexus. It is a relief to find a truly honest mechanic.

Son is an ex Lexus Master Tech, very competent, honest, cost effective at diagnosing complex smog problems like EVAP faults, P0440, P0441, P0442, P0446. I wasted a lot of time and money with a number of shops and mobile mechanics. I am glad I found a competent and trust worthy man.
