Sign in to reviewI’m from Sacramento and unfortunately my Tesla battery failed in San Diego. Ecomax was recommended to me and they ended up replacing the battery for me. The whole experience was smooth, especially considering I was dealing with a major repair far from home. They were very knowledgeable about Teslas and EVs, explained the process clearly, and kept me updated throughout the repair. The turnaround time was reasonable and the price was a small fraction of the $17,000 that Tesla dealerships quoted. After the replacement the car runs perfectly and I was able to drive back to Sacramento with no issues. If you’re in the San Diego area and need Tesla or EV work done, I’d definitely recommend Ecomax. Honest shop and Andy provided great service.
My wife and I were on our way back from the movies, and our car started to shut down. Lights shutting off, transmission slowing down, steering wheel locking up, etc. Very scary. We made it to an Auto Zone, they jumped the car, and within 5 minutes after the cables were taken off, the car shut down again. I was 99 percent sure it was the alternator. We got the car towed and brought over here. Andy was super nice, very knowledgeable, and confirmed it was the alternator. He wasn’t taking appointments for the day because of remodeling going on inside but took care of us and didn’t try to shoe us away. We took it in around 11am, and they stayed past their closing time at 2pm to fix it up. The price was very reasonable (a lot less than I expected to pay). They took very good care of us. Very friendly guys that work here. Come give this place business. They will take care of you!
After 4 years, I remembered this was the place my dad recommended for my old SUV. Now, I needed help with my other car, so I reached out to see if I could get an appointment. Luckily, they told me I could just come by anytime! During the inspection, we found quite a few things that needed work, but thankfully, they offered great prices and helped with everything: motor oil, brake pads, oil filter, spark plugs, antifreeze, and brake fluid. Now I know I can always come here whenever I need something for my car. I initially thought I could handle the air and oil myself, but it’s much better to leave it to the professionals here. Thank you so much, Mr. Lee, Andy, and the team! I feel so much happier and safer driving now. Driving from Seattle to San Diego is a journey, always be careful on the road! The crew here is super friendly. Shout out to Andy! As a female, I’ve been ripped off and upsold at other places. But that’s not the experience I’ve had here. Andy explained exactly what was going on with my car without the upselling that I’ve gotten from other shops and let me know my options. He seemed to really care about getting me back on the road safely and for the best price. I will definitely be taking care of all of my car needs here.
I had a great experience with EcoMax. Andy, the owner, is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions without rushing me. I originally brought my car in for a new water pump, and Andy had it done quickly—I was back on the road the very same day. A few weeks later, I came back because my car was making some strange noises on startup. Andy took another look and determined I needed a new compressor. Once again, the work was completed the same day and at a very fair price. I’m used to being overcharged at auto shops, but Andy and his team were honest, diligent, and more than fair. I highly recommend EcoMax to anyone and everyone. Great company, great employees, and great service. I’ll be back in the next few weeks for new shocks!
