I took my car to have a new motor put in it. Me and the owner came to an agreement and I got an invoice for the work being performed. When the motor was in and ready to be broke in. He handed me a different invoice that had different parts and prices that he NEVER told me he was going to change. But I wanted to trust his work and he gave me a warranty. The warranty ment nothing because at first he tried to use the excuse that the parts were the manufacturers fault. He said he had the motor tuned down so during the break time the motor could not be damaged. I was to drive the car for 500 miles then bring it back to change and check the oil and if everything looked good he would change the tune on the motor and drove another 500 miles. At the first 500 I called him and he said he was too busy to check the oil and he told me to just keep driving and to pull the dipstick to look for any big metal shavings and he would let me know when to bring the car in. At 700 miles the car motor broke down. When I looked under the car to see what might have happened I saw a hole in the block and also I didn’t have my catalytic converter on it. I had been trying to get it to pass inspection and it would not pass emissions so now I know why it wouldn’t pass. When I took my car to Jess he said he would fix it like what good honorable shop would do without making the customer wait but instead for the next 9 months he just gave me the run around and excuses and lied and never fixed it even after I told him l would pay him more money because I was tired of his excuses and stalling. He eventually refused. I guess he thought I would just forget about it so I had no choice but to take him to small claims court. I have never taken someone to court so I called several attorneys and was told that you usually don’t take a lawyer to small claims court unless you don’t think you will not win. Well he had a lawyer with him and he turned the entire story around and flat out lied. The judge said if i could not prove he is lying (the times we discussed about what was going to be done to the motor “ before it broke down” was just me and him talking so the was no way to prove what he said) that he has no choice but to award the him the case. I’m just letting this be known that RPM Automotive cannot be trusted and his work cannot be trusted and if the owner replies to this, he will just make up more lies to cover this up. He will probably say something like this is null and void. After going to small clams court where he took the stand under oath and boldly flat lied about the entire thing and he never even looked at me one time and even tried to say it was my fault. I had paid for forged parts to be put in the motor and I find out after it blew that he DID NOT put any forged parts in it at all. It threw a rod out of the side of the block if he put forged parts in it like I was told I would get and what I PAID FOR there might have been a different outcome. With what he charged me and then having to pay his attorney fees I am about $12,000. I then went to go to his shop to get my motors (he had my original motor and the one that blew) he came up with some kind of crap that I had to pay him a storage fee that I was of course I was never told about. That is around another 4 to 5 thousand I’m out so he is a thief also. If anyone reading this has concerns about using RPM Automotive, (he has now changed the name to Elite Automotive) you can message me, I’m on facebook (Jarel Hutyra) and I can show you all the proof showing what Jess did to me and how he screwed me over. Jess is good at one thing for sure. He can be a convincing liar and tries to get away with short changing someone if he can get away with it. Again I can show you proof at what he did with me
