Elixr Wax, Lash & Beauty Bar

Honestly I really wanted to like this place after seeing such amazing results on their instagram, but after paying $115 including tip I would expect to have a service I am satisfied with. Teyanna was nice and the experience was very comfortable however I have quite literally never had a worse lash lift in my life. It looked like I pumped my lashes twice with a lash curler right in the middle. I have straight lashes that stick straight down and have gotten lash perms before, so I know that better results are possible with my natural lashes. Teyanna told me that she used the flattest rod which is meant to curl them straight up and that the texture and length of my lashes are the reason why they look the way they do, but my past experiences demonstrate it is possible for my lashes to be permed far better. It barely looked like there is a difference from my unpermed lashes. I’ve gotten a lash lift when my lashes fell out from extensions and were 1/2 the length they were at this time. Even that lift was far better than this one. Teyanna was nice enough to process my lashes a second time for a little bit longer but it did little to enhance the effect. My lashes look uneven with a chunk of them in the middle of my right eye less curled than the others. Overall, a relaxing experience however I will not be returning as it was a waste of my $115.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the Normal Heights Elixr location. It's flooded with light! Everyone I interacted with was friendly, personable, yet professional. The estheticians who did my treatments (Teyonna for my brows and Olive for my lashes) were AMAZING. So precise and thorough. I will definitely be back, and soon!

This was my first time getting eyelash extensions and I absolutely love how my eyelashes came out and the service that I was given during my time here. My poor review is on the overcharge on my card of almost $100 that I did not authorize, very disappointed that this happened, I only realized this because I got a notification from my bank of the charge. I don't think I will be coming back here again.
