European Cars Inc is an auto repair shop in Metairie, Louisiana, serving drivers who are looking for knowledgeable care for European vehicles. Located at 707 Aris Ave, Metairie, LA 70005, the shop is a local option for people who want to discuss a repair or ongoing maintenance with a mechanic familiar with European cars. Customer reviews describe the business as a place where the owner, Cedric Vaumoron, takes a thoughtful and professional approach to the work. One long-time customer recalls having a 2000 Volkswagen Golf maintained there for more than ten years, while another mentions the challenge of finding a mechanic willing to work on an older Saab. Those experiences help convey the shop’s European-car focus without suggesting that every vehicle or repair is a fit.

Customers repeatedly point to honesty, clear communication, and care as reasons they trust European Cars Inc. Reviewers describe Cedric as smart, conscientious, and attentive, and say he discusses repair costs and options so customers can consider what works for their budget. That kind of conversation can be especially helpful when a vehicle is older or requires a mechanic with relevant experience. Rather than promising a particular result before seeing a car, the most useful first step is to call and explain the make, model, and concern. The reviews offer a consistent picture of a mechanic who takes pride in his work and treats customers with respect.

The atmosphere customers describe is welcoming and personal. One reviewer says the shop was able to get them in shortly after a phone call and remembers the staff as exceptionally kind; other customers emphasize professional service and high-quality care. These are individual experiences, not a guarantee of immediate availability, but they suggest a repair shop where direct communication matters. European Cars Inc may be worth considering for Metairie-area drivers with European vehicles who value a mechanic’s experience, a courteous interaction, and a chance to talk through repair choices. If you drive a less common or older model, call ahead to confirm that the shop can take on the specific vehicle and service you need.

European Cars Inc has a 4.7-star rating from 43 reviews. The shop is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Its address is 707 Aris Ave in Metairie, convenient to keep on hand when planning a visit or calling to discuss your car. Whether you need to ask about maintenance for a European model, arrange an assessment, or understand possible repair costs, a conversation with the shop can help establish the next step. For drivers seeking an independent, locally based auto repair shop in Metairie, the customer feedback highlights attentive service, honest guidance, and long-term care for European cars.

I thought I would write another review for European Cars Metairie since it seems my last one from a few years ago was somehow deleted by Google! I lived in Lousiana until 2021 and had amazing experience at European Cars with the owner Cedric Vaumoron. Granted he doesn't work on anything from the USA, Japan, or South Korea. But if you have a car from Germany, Italy, France, the UK, Sweden or anywhere else in Europe it would be your best bet to stop looking now! I brought a 1997 Mercedes E320, 2002 BMW 330i, 2000 Volvo V70, and 2013 Mini Cooper all with incredible experience and fair pricing. I live out of state now but Cedric Vaumoron is still a fantastically helpful resource for all things European cars if you email him! He has helped me out tremendously with questions regarding my family's 1999 Volvo S70, 2000 Volvo V70, and 2019 Volvo XC-60. On our S70 there was a very specific and rare to find EVAP part that was failing. And of course Cedric suspected that this might be the culprit! And on my V70 the turn signal was acting up. The master tech at the Volvo dealership where I live who is quite good by the way wanted to take apart the steering column to look for broken wiring. Turns out it was a simple module that you pop out and in! Do yourself a favor and set an appointment with this guy if you have a European car. He is fair and honest with pricing, won't do anything unless it's necessary, and is VERY skilled at diagnosing complex issues. He will save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars by diagnosing the issue correctly the first time!

As the owner of an older Saab, it’s become nearly impossible to find someone who is not afraid to work on it. Even mechanics who tout their ability to “work on anything with wheels,” I find that it’s easy to put fear into their eyes (along with dollar signs, because they’re willing to “try” but at my expense, of course). I was on the verge of actually selling the car to someone for parts when I decided to call Cedric. I am so glad that I did! He was the most honest mechanic that I’ve ever dealt with, and he’s also an extremely capable and competent mechanic. I knew that finding someone to service my car that’s part of an orphan marque would be a bit more difficult than finding someone who could work on say, a Honda, but I was very realistically starting to realize that I’d need to trailer my Saab to Houston to have it serviced. Cedric saved us so much time, money, and so many headaches! He is very patient and has a good knack for dealing with customers as well as their cars. Finding both of these traits within one person is becoming more and more rare, I’m afraid. I can wholeheartedly recommend Cedric to anyone who has a European automobile that needs service. He will do what he needs to do to get you up and running again, and will let you know what needs to be done, and how much it will be BEFORE doing anything, and he doesn’t suggest services that are unnecessary. I’m beyond happy that he’s here to help those of us who have European vehicles that need to be serviced, we’re lucky to have someone who’s as down-to-Earth, honest, and skilled as Cedric to work on our cars. I know that I’ll be back for anything that my car needs, and anyone who’s had the pleasure of owning a Saab knows that they tend to be in the shop more than they’re being driven, so having a good working relationship with a skilled mechanic is a must!

Cedric has maintained our 2000 Golf over 10 years and has provided excellent care for each repair. He always discusses the price options to fit your budget. He is super professional, very conscientious, and does high quality work.
