When I first spoke with Austin Willemin, director of Private Duty Services at Family Home Care, I explained that my elderly parents were fiercely independent and did not want strangers in their home. Austin assured me this was common and that he and his team had experience helping families through exactly these situations. He was right. After my mom was discharged from rehab, we needed to arrange home care quickly. Family Home Care was one of several agencies recommended by both the hospital and rehab center, but Austin was the only person who returned my call immediately. From that first conversation, I was impressed by his knowledge, compassion, patience and commitment to finding solutions. He met with my parents, assessed their home, and even rearranged caregiver schedules at the last minute when my dad changed his mind just one day before mom came home. The caregivers were exceptional. They treated mom with kindness and respect, helped with bathing, meals, medications, mobility and therapy, and brought genuine joy into her days. Austin stayed in close contact, checking on my parents regularly and making adjustments whenever needed. Brandon also seamlessly coordinated nursing visits and therapy services, making the entire process as stress-free as possible. Unfortunately, dad decided to discontinue the private-duty care even though it was clearly helping, and the very next morning my mom suffered another fall and returned to the hospital. Even after our services ended, Austin continued to check in and offer support—a level of care that's rare these days. I've had extensive experience with assisted living, memory care, hospice and home care, so I don't give praise lightly. Family Home Care exceeded every expectation. Austin, Brandon and their entire team are compassionate professionals who genuinely care about the families they serve. If you're looking for in-home care for a loved one, I recommend them without hesitation.

I hired a personal care home health aide through Family Home Care group recently and it was like a gift from God to have Bella here. I could not have made it through caring for my husband without her. She had perfect insight into exactly the right things to say and do to help him. My husband was instantly comfortable with her. Me too. She helped with bathing, dressing, getting him in and out of bed and a wheelchair, and accompanied me to every doctor's appointment. I cannot say enough good things about Bella, or Austin (the manager who handled scheduling). Both were so responsive to our needs. I am so grateful they were here to help.
