Sign in to reviewOvertime family tree has helped with our aging family member’s care in more ways than one. Family tree helped with our mother‘s ongoing SSI eligibility and critical status updates regarding complex issues. They were able to confirm eligibility questions directly with Social Security representatives, in a very timely manner, as can only be done by true professionals in the industry by maintaining professional working relationships with the Social Security administrators. Additionally, family tree helped with our mother’s urgent need for setting up for a transition to a personal care home, coordinating appointments and tours of nursing home, assisted care, facilities, as well as personal care homes. Every care facility we visited with family tree, we were provided detailed cost, care & eligibility information allowing us to make informed decisions in a short period of time, that best met our needs and budget, as family tree already has relationships with, and helps other clients with their aging loved ones urgent needs for care providers. They are pros—and are already doing it for other folks, and that’s who you want to help you with your needs. They are problem solvers and have teams that address all of the complex issues that arise with aging and disability, making themselves available to do home visits, as needed, even connecting us with attorneys, facilitating critical power of attorney documents, with mobile notary services. They also provided guidance with top notch hospice solutions. If you are needing help with a family member, do not hesitate to reach out to family tree, as they are all the A-team and can make it happen! Micheal and Teri at family Tree helped us with our needs, and I am grateful for their excellent experience and help.
I met the RedBud staff in a very emotional and difficult time in my sister's and my life. My sister had cancer in it's final stage. We made a close connection with our assigned caregiver. I would leave the house to run necessary errands, for meds and supplies with total confidence. I really can't say enough about the RedBud staff. I would recommend them to all of my family and friends, if the need were to arise. Michael G
I have been negligent in providing a review of Redbud Homecare Services. Going through many of my mother's belongings since her passing in 2019, I have come across notes, paperwork, etc. from Redbud so better late than never. I signed up with them around 2015 when my mother was diagnosed with early onset dementia, and I continued using their service through 2019. I never thought to change to another provider because the caregivers that they provided over those years were so kind and loving to my mom. From my initial information-gathering phone call with Sean, I felt that he and Anne understood where I was coming from and what I wanted and needed for my mother's care. They were willing to work with me when I occasionally needed to change the schedule and did whatever they could to accommodate the request. I felt safe leaving my mother in the caregiver's care as I went to work and they followed whatever instructions/requests that I left for them. They would provide notes of the day's activities in a notebook that I had there for them. I can't say enough positive things about Redbud. I am forever grateful for their care and concern for my mom and me.
We used RedBud HomeCare Services from September 2018 to March 2019. We were extremely happy most of the time with the care takers that were sent to care for my mother. Our experience varied. We were sent women who were completely invested in their responsibilities and so attentive to my mother's needs. I felt totally comfortable leaving them to care for my mother and felt that they truly cared about my mother's well-being. It was hard to say good-bye to them when my mother passed away. Others were just "baby sitters"....some with English language difficulties; others in-attentive due to boredom with their job; some with weight issues that made it difficult for maneuvering and performing their jobs. Only two caretakers took responsibility to cook her breakfast, clean the dishes, and make her bed. All of the others left it to us. We found that we had to be very pro-active when a caretaker was disappointing. Almost always, RedBed attempted to rectify the situation, but training new caretakers was always difficult, especially when it was short notice. To be fair, we did change the schedule often in the beginning. I was not totally sure what our needs were....my mother was mentally present, capable of walking on her own or with the help of a walker. RedBud did their best to meet our needs, but usually could not change the schedule immediately. So.....we were either very very pleased, or frustrated.
I will forever be grateful for the support that Accountable Aging provided when I was managing my mother's failing health. The Accountable Aging caregivers are knowledgeable, professional and above all caring. They were true thought partners and helped me navigate some very complicated and challenging situations, while always keeping the health, safety and integrity of my mother in mind. I truly do not know what I would have done without their hands-on and social-emotional support for not only my mother, but for me as well! I highly recommend Accountable Aging!
