Reviews also point to experiences that may be important to consider before visiting. One customer reported a strong smoke smell inside and advised people with asthma or other sensitivities to seek service elsewhere. Another described a disappointing follow-up regarding a vehicle title after initially having a good experience, including difficulty confirming what had happened. These are individual reports, not a guarantee of what every visitor will experience, but they are relevant when deciding whether to visit or call first. I went to Nickens Agency to have a document notarized. The entire process took less than 5 minutes! The staff there were friendly, professional and made sure I was handled with care. I had a great experience and the privilege of supporting a LOCAL, Woman owned, Black owned business. I will be a return customer for sure!
Initially I thought my experience here was great in April, but returning in August when I still hadn't received my title in the mail it was ruined. I called first regarding this and was told over the phone that there was no record of anyone …
Ms. Sharon recently helped me register my new car and get new tags. What a great experience! She was polite, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much for your help! Great business! I would highly recommend.
Serious bad smoke when you walk into this place! The woman who served me was very nice, but the owner doesn’t seem friendly at all. With people having asthma or issues, I advise you to go elsewhere for service. It’s literally up the road from me, but I’ll have to go elsewhere due to the bad smoke issue. This was not the first time I noticed this issue as well!
I went to this place to have a letter notarized. I printed it out just as I left the house. It was raining outside and a few drops of rain feel on it and the ink started to run. When I arrived to this location that’s when I noticed the ink was running. I walked inside and asked the gentleman that came from the back if he could reprint the letter, because I didn’t want to pay the notary fee and have the city reject the letter. The man gave me every excuse why I couldn’t send the letter for them to reprint it. They have several printers in the facility. Not to mention the document had to be no more than 4 sentences long, and I offered to pay for the print if ink was an issue 🤷🏾♂️. The gentleman told me no. I would have to return home, which is 15 min away and come back to get the letter notarized. Mind you I only went there to support a black business. I could’ve easily went to TD bank and got the letter notarized for free, but I chose to spend money to support the neighborhood I grew up in. Way to go Nickens! Great way to look out for your community. Don’t support this business. If you can turn your back on someone for something so small. That would’ve cost you close to nothing. Imagine his response to someone that’s really in need.
