With hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, it offers a schedule that can fit around the workweek for many drivers in Santa Ana.

Customers mention coming to First Street Auto Services for practical needs such as oil changes, diagnostics, ABS-related issues, and engine repair discussions like head gasket work. That range gives a useful picture of the kind of shop many people search for when they need straightforward automotive help close to home. Some reviewers describe returning because they have an established relationship with the mechanic and feel their vehicle is being handled with care. One customer specifically noted trust in the shop for a Mustang, which suggests the value of working with someone who understands the owner’s concern for how a car drives and performs.

As with many local repair businesses, online feedback for First Street Auto Services reflects a mix of experiences. Several reviews point to loyalty and familiarity, while others raise concerns about communication, repair expectations, or how service recommendations were explained. For people researching an auto repair shop in Santa Ana, California, that makes it especially important to call ahead, describe the issue clearly, ask for an estimate, and confirm what a visit will include. Taking that practical approach can help set expectations on both sides and make the experience smoother, whether the job is basic maintenance or a more involved repair.

What stands out about First Street Auto Services is its role as a local option for drivers who prefer dealing with an independent shop in Santa Ana instead of traveling farther for service. It may be a fit for nearby residents, commuters, and car owners who want a convenient place to ask about maintenance needs during the week or on Saturday. If you are comparing garages in Santa Ana, CA, this is the kind of neighborhood business worth considering when proximity, flexible daytime hours, and a direct, local repair experience matter to you.

For FindALoco users searching for a Vietnamese-owned or community-rooted business presence in Orange County, First Street Auto Services represents the kind of small, street-level auto service shop that many locals rely on over time. It is best approached with clear questions, a good understanding of your vehicle’s needs, and an interest in working with a shop that serves day-to-day drivers in Santa Ana. For maintenance, troubleshooting, or general repair conversations, it remains one of the local names people may come across when searching for an auto repair shop in the area.

I took my car here for an oil change, brought my own full-synthetic oil- at 109,900 miles. I left and noticed my car said i need an oil change in 2,300 miles. And the on the sticker he wrote to bring back at 113,000. I went back and asked why so little miles when full synthetic gives you at least 5,000 miles. He said since I went past the time i needed to bring it back, it was subtracting those miles from the new count. Think what you want about it. P.S. I know very well that's not the case, just wanted to see what he would tell me it was.

This place is a joke. The other reviews here must be from families, and friends. After calling around a few places to get a quote on doing a Head Gasket job on my Ranger, this place said they could do it for $900-$1,200 MAX, and sounded like they knew what they were talking about on the phone. I had my truck towed there for $120, and got a call 30 min later. They said the job was going to be a minimum of $1,700 , and maybe more if they found any other issues. I couldn't believe it. They clearly thought that they had me by the balls since I towed the truck in. TOTAL SCAM. Had to pay to have it towed out of there, they were rude on the phone when I tried working something out. Avoid this place, there are plenty of other mechanics.

For service to my vehicles, First Street Auto has always been the place for me to go. I have switched my mustang many times and I know Jose, my mechanic is a mustang guy as well so I know he will always treat my ride well. Best service in Santa Ana.

Jean Coronado who voted this Auto Repair Shop a one star actually got the wrong business. There are two businesses in the area (one located in the front and another in the back) (First Street Auto Repair is in the front). There is no Arturo who works at First Street Auto Repair Shop and never has. He got it mixed up with the business in the back of the rental space. As for my review, its a great shop and you can have your trust in Jose.

got sent here by Patrick from Clark motors the worst dealership you can go to. to fix my car that was already having a problem a month after buying it. went to Arturo fixed my abs then he did a diagnose on my steering wheel didn't even lift the car up. everything was done in the back of the shop where the rest of the cars are. then he said it was most likely my Pitman arm he wanted to charge me $80 for the part and $100 for the labor i didn't.i went to my mechanic and it ended up being the center link not the Pitman arm like he said it was. he's a joke you should take your money somewhere else don't even waste your time here
