Four Diamonds (FD) is a unqiue place that almost acts like a hidden gem in downtown Seattle at Pioneer Square. At first glance, it looks like a pseudo food court, a cheap tacky frozen-food eatery along a random street in Seattle. As a matter of fact, their main entrance is even confusing to find - the location was definitely not originally for a restaurant. You sort of see an ordering counter on the right, and then the dining hall is through a small set of doors. And with cheap tacky interior decor, I'm at this point doubting my choice of FD. The furniture is simple. These are your typical barebones Asian cheap-wedding chairs and table. And again, not that I was expecting more, but just everything felt tacky to a point where you are starting to doubt the quality of the food. And boy, was I wrong. Once you start scanning the menu, you start realizing that the chef and owner must be a proper Vietnamese. You start to see things that are not typical in a highly Americanized Pho shop. Whether it is boba or banh mi, or random Vietnamese dishes that was put on the menu just cause it was what they knew how to make, as you try to make your pick, you start to realize that a single visit to FD will just not be enough. The pho broth had a lot of lemongrass and ginger to it, compared to other shops. I wouldn't say this was the most greasy, and beefy pho broth. But there was definitely something here that keeps begging for the next slurp. The banh mi with the beef was perfection. I was speechless The baguette was perfect. The pickled veggies were perfect. The meat was perfect. This was pure heaven. And then there's the price. Absolutely reasonable for an authentic Vietnamese comfort food in the middle of Pioneer Square. FD is definitely not targeting tourists. They are going for the working-class regular Seattlelites, the every day college kid, those who need just a solid lunch. Everything FD serves has love embedded. I absolutely love this place.
Very convenient and tasty Vietnamese restaurant 4 min walk away from the Pioneer Square Station. I came for the gradient tea but had to stop and dine in for the fried chicken wings! The portion is actually really decent and the chicken is perfectly seasoned. Not salty at all, perfect sweet and tangy flavor. And definitely not forgetting the Galaxy Tea, the flavor is deep and has a very sweet aroma. Definitely taking my family here when I come back to Seattle!
This place is a gem. It's hidden away, and from the outside doesn't seem like much, but the food was delicious. Our hotel was a few blocks away, so we just walked over. I got the beef vermicelli bowl -- a healthy meal with different vegetables, beef, shrimp, and rice noodles. It paired well with the fish oil. My wife got the chicken Pad Thai (which I tried too, lol). It was delicious! She got a spice level of 1, which was just right for us. The flavors were rich and the chicken was tender.
Four Diamond Pho in Seattle absolutely blew me away. I was looking for a good pho place and this didn’t disappoint ! …
Delicious Vietnamese restaurant in Pioneer Square serving pho, bahn mi, vermicelli bowls, and other dishes with a bonus bubble tea bar. Visited for lunch with a friend. We split the fresh rolls and pork vermicelli bowl. First, the peanut sauce was on point: the right color and flavor. The pork in the vermicelli bowl was tender and warm; it matched perfectly with the crisp pickled veggies, lettuce, and noodles. I had raspberry black tea with boba 25% sweet. Sliced calamansi added a refreshing tart flavor. Very nice touch. Friendly staff and quick service, which is important for workday lunch. I already have plans to return. Gotta try the pho!
