I am writing to formally report a concerning and unacceptable experience I had this morning at the blood draw lab at Franciscan Medical Clinic at St. Joseph.Upon arrival, I checked in with my name and phone number. The staff member assisting me entered my information into the system and provided me with a urine sample container. When I returned, she was on the phone and instructed me to sit and wait.Despite having completed the check-in process, I was not called in a timely or orderly manner. Multiple patients who arrived after me were taken in for blood draws ahead of me, including a family with young children and several other individuals. I waited patiently, assuming there was a system in place, but it became increasingly clear that I had been overlooked. After an extended period of waiting, I approached the staff to ask when it would be my turn. I was told it would be “coming soon,” yet several more patients continued to be called ahead of me. During this time, my young daughter was crying, and the situation became increasingly stressful.Eventually, the original staff member left her station, and another nurse took her place. At no point did any staff proactively check on my status. It was only after other patients questioned why I had not been called that the nurse finally asked for my information again. Only then was I properly processed and called in for my blood draw.In total, I waited nearly one hour without explanation or acknowledgment. At no point did any staff member apologize for the delay.I expect this matter to be reviewed seriously, and I strongly urge the clinic to improve its check-in and patient management procedures to ensure that no other patient has to go through a similar experience. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
New Dr. Amit is not fulfilling his responsibilities as a doctor. My child has mouth sores, a runny nose, a fever, red eyes, and rashes around the mouth. This young doctor came in without examining the child. He sat down and said the child has allergies and prescribed medication. I find his way of working far inferior to mine. Although I studied engineering, I have some understanding of children's illnesses. When I got home, my child had a high fever of 101.8 F. I had to treat him at home. The doctor is terrible.
Over the course of 3 phone calls I have been on hold for 45 minutes!! They really need to staff their call centers adequately. 45 minutes on hold is unacceptable.
In hospital care with Saint Joe’s was good enough that I wanted to give a very good review after our experience however, follow up Care you cannot get through On their phone service to talk with anyone you can end up on the phone for an hour on hold just to find out and about an appointment. It doesn’t matter what department.
The staff is great. The building is a pain to get to. The parking is crazy and if you have to walk a few blocks it can be scary.
