If you’re anywhere near Shady Grove, you have to check out Frutty Pop Paleteria. This place is honestly such a hidden gem. The moment you walk in, it feels bright, colorful, and super welcoming. Their fresas con crema are the real highlight. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell they use real fruit, not artificial flavors. The texture is so smooth and natural, and the flavors actually taste like what they’re supposed to especially the mango and strawberry. They also sell very good quality Mangoes named Hayden and large Hass Avocados. And definitely get sweet lime from them, never had such sweet sweet lemons, And everything is priced perfect, very pocket friendly for the quality you get.

Don’t waste your money here. Everything is insanely priced and not worth the more expensive price tag. They were selling mangos for $3 EACH! Not to mention a small serving of prickly pears was $7 mind you they looked very dry and flavorless. We ordered the elote en vaso and chips preparados. First off the chips were supposed to come with avocado, pico de gallo and crema. Didn’t come with any of that. It was a small bag of chips topped with loads of cabbage, overripe tomato chunks and the tiniest sprinkle of queso fresco. Mind you we had to ASK for them to add the cheese on when it’s already supposed to be on there. The elotes weren’t even dressed as one would expect and they don’t even fill the cup. For $7.50 it was taxation without representation. The cashier was rude and off-putting. She didn’t disclose that they were out of avocado before anything and seemed as if she WANTED to cheap out as much as she could. All in all please don’t go here. Store had a weird odor and the vibes overall were pretty bad. No customer service whatsoever.

The service is amaizing. they sell awesome fresh fruits. I tried Fresas con crema. It was amaizing. They also sells fresh and sweet fruits. I have also tried mango empanada and elotes, they are great, good quality which is fairly priced, Also you get fresh coconut pulp and water here.

Place is a little old looking, well the outside, but dont let that trick you. I side they offer fruit you can buy by the piece or pound. They also offer cut fruit cups or cooked corn in a cup or stick. They other items they prepare and make in house. The fruit is fresh and so is the white corn. Came because they sold white maize corn we are looking for a party we want to gove out. We ordered a corn on a stick, the white corn with its toppings it was a 4 out of 5, the cheese is a little stinky but it was delicious.

I drove almost 30 minutes to try this place because of the high ratings, and I was honestly really disappointed. They were super busy when I went in, which I took as a good sign at first, but the experience did not live up to the hype. The only positive thing I can say is that the man who helped me at the front was very sweet and polite. However, the women working in the back were giving me uncomfortable looks the entire time. I was wearing a small crop top, and the way they were staring felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming. I ordered two drinks, and one of them had way too much of the flavored syrup. After just a few sips, my stomach started hurting, which was really concerning. The drink was overly sweet and tasted off. I also ordered pepinos locos, which I’ve had many times from different Mexican snack shops around Dallas since I’ve lived here my whole life. This was, unfortunately, the worst one I’ve ever had. The cucumbers didn’t taste fresh, and the candy toppings tasted stale. It honestly seemed like some of the ingredients had been sitting out for too long. The overall cleanliness of the place also didn’t feel up to par to me, which added to the bad experience. If I could rate it a zero, I would. I really wanted to like this place because of the reviews, but I won’t be coming back.
