Sign in to review100% delicious. I got the bánh mì nuong sot and house milk tea and both were absolutely perfect and so rich. Baguette was fresh and soft and the milk tea was not too sweet and didn't have too much ice nor boba.
If I have to choose a word to describe Goc An Vat, it's impossible. I need a whole paragraph to review it. I came here with my husband 2 hours ago for a dine-in dinner. When we just entered the store, it was like my whole childhood in Vietnam just appeared in front of my eyes. They have a corner with a lot of Vietnamese snacks that would bring you right back to the good old days. In addition, they have a check-in area with many antiques where you can take beautiful pictures. I think my husband and I got lost in the good old memories. Talking about the food, it's delicious. It's not expensive at all when it's the inflation era. We ordered a Met Banh Trang with the best 2 rolls (Cuon Bo Truyen Thong and Cuon Tay Ninh Gay Nghien) and a mixed rice paper (Tron Di Cho Chi) that the friendly cashier recommended. About the drink, I ordered Da Me, my husband ordered Sam Dua Sua, and they were fantastic. Everything came out to be only $40.42. The store also have board games that you can play while waiting for your order. I will definitely recommend Goc An Vat to my friends and relatives. I will absolutely come back in the near future.
The food is delicious exploding with flavor my tastebud’s were enjoying the delicious taste of the snacks I got myself some pork grinds that had a nice crunch and flavor. I also got myself some more snack in which they have various options to pick from. With so many appealing selections I went with also choosing the ALUOWAT or TǍM CAY ÐEN, it’s some stick snack that have a distinguished flavor that just sort of melts in your mouth with a fabulous punch of flavor. I also got myself some cheddar fries that were not too salty (because some times cheddar can be salty) it was a perfect blend of potato and cheese flavor. I also had myself a boba drink a taro jelly snack and a BT cuôn bo truyên thông. The boba was called the Panden milk which was rich in flavor I added some boba that made it taste even better, although I’m quite sure that without it this drink can be exceptionally great. The taro snack jelly was nicely packaged as well as all the other items that they have which seem to be securely packaged which in my opinion keeps the flavor secured. The jelly tasted exactly as you would expect of a Taro snack though to me the taste was even better. It was not hard like other jelly’s that I have had, it was nice and smooth to eat. The flavor of this jelly made me get some more of them, I had to it was a great snack, I went with also choosing another flavor which I decided to save for later. Like I said they have lots of items from the food menu to snacks and drinks. The location has enough parking to go and eat. The interior and aesthetic is very nice nicely decorated and organized with enough seating. It was also nice to sit and enjoy the full ambiance of its genuine features. They also have great music to enjoy while you eat their delicious food. The service while ordering was excellent. My food did not take forever to get it was convenient for a hungry stomach like mine.
The restaurant not only impressed me with its delicious food but also with its extremely enthusiastic and lovely service. The dishes are prepared quickly, hot, with rich, authentic Vietnamese flavors, especially the grilled rice paper - delicious and very tasty. The staff is always enthusiastic, friendly, and ready to suggest dishes if I am confused. The restaurant space is clean, airy, creating a comfortable feeling like eating at home. This is definitely a place I will return to many times!
I bought this just to try it, so luckily I didn’t order much. Otherwise it would have felt like a bigger waste of money. Unfortunately, the customer service was very disappointing. When I complained about receiving food that was close to the expiration date ( only over 2 weeks) and the response I got was simply that “the batch we received was like that.” There was no apology to the customer. They only said they could send a return label for a refund. However, I didn’t feel it was worth the trouble to return it since I didn’t buy much, so the refund would have been very small anyway. My point was simply that if you are selling food that is close to its expiration date, customers should be informed beforehand so they can decide whether they are okay with buying it or not. Instead, the food arrived with only about two weeks left before expiration, and the explanation was basically that it’s just how the batch came. It felt like the attitude was: take it or return it. What made it worse was the very indifferent tone in the response, as if this situation was completely normal and not something worth acknowledging. The prices here are not cheap at all. I only decided to try it because I saw so many advertisements and thought maybe I had found something really great. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. Another example: Vietnamese yogurt is sold here for $12 for 4 cups, while I later saw the same type being sold at the market for a little over $4 for 4 cups. Please think carefully before buying food here, or at least ask about expiration dates first so you don’t end up disappointed.
