Ramen is a central reason customers visit, and reviews point to several styles to consider. Shoyu Ramen is one guest’s favorite, while another review describes the Spicy Miso Ramen as genuinely spicy and the tonkotsu as enjoyable, though that diner would have preferred a little more flavor. Pork chashu is mentioned with both the spicy miso and tonkotsu bowls. These firsthand impressions offer useful context: preferences for broth intensity and spice can differ, so guests who have a particular flavor profile in mind may want to ask staff about the available options. The menu also includes rice bowls, with one customer praising the sesame chicken bowl as tasty and satisfying.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is another part of the experience customers talk about. One reviewer enjoyed the friendly staff and the anime-inspired decor, including visitors’ drawings displayed around the restaurant. Sketchbooks on the tables give guests a way to share their own artwork, adding a creative detail to the dining room. You do not need to know anime to enjoy the setting or the food, according to one guest’s experience. That makes Gung Ho - Yukon a fitting option for a relaxed meal with friends or family, especially for diners who like a casual space with something to look at and talk about while they eat. Reviews also mention poke bowls, though experiences with them have varied, so expectations may differ by visit.

This is a great ramen and poke restaurant!! The food is really really good. It's lite, but that doesn't mean the portions are small! They fill you up just fine! I had the sesame chicken rice bowl which was really tasty! I love how the restaurant is decorated with visitors drawings as well as anime decor like Dragon Ball Z! Staff was helpful and friendly! I've beem here a couple of times and will definitely be going back!
Ordered Spicy Miso Ramen with pork chasu and a tonkotsu ramen with pork chasu. They were both good. The spicy ramen was spicy. The tonkotsu couldve used a bit more flavor but still good. I also ordered two poke bowls. I was disappointed. When ordering a poke bowl. I assume they will be fresh / chopped ingredients. I ordered one poke bowl with jalapeños and I got pickled jalapeños. It threw the taste completely off. The other poke bowl had cream cheese and it was just a large clump of cream cheese. Wasn't cubed or diced. The avocado was also half way cut. I dont mind slices but it wasnt sliced all the way through. Fought trying to cut these ingredients to blend the flavors evenly and get a bite of all the ingredients evenly. Also had to fish out all the pickled jalapeños to try to save the flavor of my bowl. The protein amount given as well didnt really seem to be balanced. It was probably about 10 cubes of salmon. I also didnt get several toppings I had marked on the "DIY" paper menu on my poke bowls. The Boba teas were amazing. Very good. Super disappointed with what shouldve been the easiest menu item to throw together.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. I may not know much about Anime but the food was delicious!! I got the Shoyu Ramen with a Strawberry Green tea with Passionfruit popping boba. I loved the fact that they had sketch books on the table so people can show their skills. Some are even posted on the wall. I will definitely be back to share with my friends.
The buy one get one is a joke. The portion size is not like the pictures! There is one inch of food in the bowl, see pics! The meat is grey in color and tastes like rubber, curry is straight from a jar.
Ordered delivery, all the food was pretty good but the octopus. My son's house caught fire last month and what ever the stuff is on the octopus has the same smell as that burnt house, opening the box stank up my house and touching the stuff left that smell on my hands. I've washed my hands 3 times and they still smell like burnt house. Gave it 2 stars just because the rest of the food was pretty good. Not sure what happened to the octopus.
