Hair by Luis

I'm very anxious when it comes to haircut d/t prior bad experiences. I was also nervous when Luis was cutting my hair not knowing what to expect, however, he took the time to understand my needs. I ended up liking my haircut very much, he also knew how to work my curly hair, other times they just applied product not knowing how to define curls. Overall even though I'm from Sacramento, I'll drive all the way to Berkeley for my haircut :)

Luis is an incredible hairstylist !!!! I trusted him with my haircut (wanted something super simple- nice haircut and blow dry) for my courthouse wedding and I am so impressed with his ability to make magic with my hair. The experience felt super special from start to finish. He listened to what I wanted and asked for allergies and made sure to know what I had in mind. I wanted something classic and elegant and it turned out better than I ever thought ! It held up beautifully for the wedding - got so many compliments. Absolutely stunning results and flawless service. Thank you for this one on one experience. First time there (big bet on him I know !) but I will definitely be coming back !!!! Go and try it out you will not be disappointed.

Luis is such a wonderful hairstylist! I came in for a blowout, and he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. The results were exactly what I asked for. He gave me a trim and shaped my bangs perfectly—it was just what I needed. I can be a little picky, so it was refreshing to have someone really understand what I wanted. His vibe is calm and uplifting, and he’s incredibly gentle with his hands—something I truly appreciated. I’ve been to many hairstylists before, and let’s just say I usually leave with my scalp sore from all the pulling. But not this time! If you’re in Berkeley or nearby, definitely check him out. I know I’ll be back!

Came across Hair by Luis in a flyer I saw. I was looking for a new stylist at the time and gave him a try. Definitely worth it. He is attentive, detail oriented, honest and straightforward about what he thinks he can do with your hair if you give him that freedom. I’m very pleased with the result and I’ll be back to see him again.

LUIS IS THE BEST STYLIST! I went in his cute, cozy spot just to get my long hair trimmed and came out looking like a celebrity. He is a perfectionist and and a serious professional. He knows the best styles, colors, techniques and products for your hair. I can’t wait to go back and get a different style and color. I trust him with my hair and that says a lot because I usually do my own hair. Luis is the Best!
