Hair Revolution

I cannot say enough good things about Ken at Hair Revolution. I absolutely love my haircut and color. I have been trying for almost five years to get exactly the look I wanted, and Ken is the only one who finally made it happen. My haircut is absolutely perfect, and the color turned out exactly how I had hoped. I waited a little while to leave this review because I wanted to make sure I still loved it after living with it for a bit, and I definitely do. I am so happy with the results and truly appreciate the time, care, and attention Ken put into making my hair look amazing. I would highly recommend Ken to anyone looking for someone who really listens and knows how to bring your vision to life.

My Experience * I was a client for approximately six months. * First appointment: * My appointment was changed either the day before or the day of, and I was asked to come in an hour earlier. * I had already explained that I work full-time, am not located nearby, and taking time off is difficult. * If a stylist is unavailable, that appointment time should not be offered for online booking. * My service was adequate. I received a root touch-up and requested a blowout and the stylist used no styling products. My hair is very fine and actually benefits from the appropriate products, but I paid and left. * Subsequent appointments with a different stylist: * My first appointment with her was excellent. She was professional, explained the coloring process, discussed color options, and styled my hair beautifully. Based on that experience, I continued booking with her. * During later appointments: * Hair color was repeatedly left around my hairline and face. * I specifically asked her to thoroughly wash the center of my scalp because color tends to linger there, but it was not properly cleaned. * She soaked my shirt while washing my hair. * I later scheduled a Brazilian Blowout. * Before starting, I specifically asked whether the treatment was appropriate for my very fine hair and explained my concerns about frizz. * She assured me it was safe and recommended it. * During the appointment, I discovered it was her first time ever performing a Brazilian Blowout. * By then, the product had already been applied, so I felt I had no choice but to continue. * The treatment severely damaged my hair. * I had an event that evening, and my hair was left extremely flat and lifeless. I was embarrassed. * She attempted to curl it afterward, but the damage had already been done. * In the weeks that followed, my hair continued breaking and falling out. * I returned one final time because I urgently needed my roots touched up and hadn’t found another stylist. * She applied the color with such a heavy hand that the brush repeatedly jabbed my scalp. * I asked if she had a softer brush because the application was painful. * She eased up briefly but quickly returned to the same rough technique. * I left with wet hair because I no longer felt it was worth paying for a blowout or styling that I wasn’t happy with. I consistently achieved better results styling my own hair at home. * Final experience: * My last appointment was switched to another stylist again, and that was the point I decided not to return. Overall Feedback * Your salon charges premium prices, and clients trust that they are receiving services from experienced, qualified professionals. * We rely on a stylist’s expertise and recommendations, especially when it comes to chemical treatments that can permanently damage our hair. * Allowing an inexperienced stylist to perform a Brazilian Blowout for the first time on a paying client—without disclosing that beforehand—is unacceptable. * As the salon owner, there is a responsibility to ensure stylists are properly trained, supervised, and capable of consistently delivering quality work. * Paying anywhere from $120 to $400 for hair services should come with professionalism, technical skill, and quality results. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

My family and I have been coming here for a couple years now, but the last few times we haven’t had our services performed by the provider(s) with whom we made the appointments. No communication beforehand, just reassignment upon arrival. This photo is of my son’s haircut from just two weeks ago. For the price of a children’s haircut here, I would expect more consistency, predictability and longevity.

I was debating writing a review but it's been almost a month since my visit and my hair is pretty much ruined. I went in to have my dirty blonde hair bleached to a silver/gray blonde with a shadow root. I have, well had, thick waist length hair but when I went for a quick consultation a few days before, the stylist assured me that she could do it. Only asking if I could come in at 2 instead of 3. I guess she over estimated how quickly she was going to be able to do it because the day of my appointment she was falling behind the closer it got to 6pm. Long story short, the left side of my hair was basically cooked because she switched to 40 volume developer and put my foiled hair under a heater. By end of the appointment my hair was fried and slightly stretchy. It was also blue because she used the wrong toner. I went back a few days later so they could fix the color, which they did, but they also put even more bleach in my already damaged hair, which left it gummy,stretchy and fried in several spots. I paid over $600 for this process, plus tip, plus a hair cut.They did give me the color correction and a hair treatment for free, but that was their attempt at fixing their mistake as far as I am concerned. My hair is steadily falling out/ breaking off and is completely damaged beyond repair, but only on the left side where she used the 40 vol. It is gummy when wet and takes close to 10 hrs to dry since I'm reluctant to use any heat on it in fear of damaging it further. Needless to say,I will not be going back.

Kaylee gave me an amazing cut and style today. She was so kind, listened well and gave me the best cut! I left feeling like million bucks! I highly recommend Kaylee and Hair Revolution if looking for a new stylist- I hear she is great at hair coloring as well!
