Had a wonderful first experience at HK Salon and will definitely be back. Shannon was punctual, listened to what I was looking for, professional while also fun, and I got exactly the cut I was hoping for. The salon itself is cute and clean and on a sunny grad hospital corner Highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to Shannon for my hair since May 2021. I recently moved to South Jersey and have not found a new stylist (honestly, I’ve been scared to find someone new). From the very first appointment, she made me feel comfortable, listened carefully to what I wanted, and always manages to make my hair look even better than I imagined. Shannon is incredibly talented, detail-oriented, and clearly passionate about what she does. I always leave her chair feeling confident and taken care of. She is truly an artist! After years of appointments, I can honestly say she’s not just my stylist — she’s someone I trust completely with my hair. If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, professional, and genuinely cares about her clients, Shannon is the one. I’m so grateful I found her back in 2021! And I realized I can’t JUST trust anyone with my hair, so I’ll do the 30 min drive to see her♥️

I recently came in for a glaze touchup, cut and blow dry and I’m so thankful to have found HK! Katie is simply amazing! She doesn’t stop until she gets it just perfect for you! She’s open to feedback and truly cares about her clients loving her work. She made me feel so comfortable voicing what I wanted and I trusted her from the beginning to bring my vision to life. So I won't be back say the least spent over 300 on a trim and blow dry for me a trim for my youngest and a highlight frame dye and trim for my eldest . first i walked in we weren't greeted just asked if we had an appointment. We did we sit and wait . shannon the stylist she does my eldest first than goes to do my youngest . this is where everything rubbed me wrong. I asked her to do a small style on my youngest she goes off to say they don't wash the younger children hair . when I made the appointment I was unaware of this and would not have brought her because I really wanted her to have a salon experience but w.e we were there she continues to brush my curly baby's hair and cut it dry . the stylist goes on about being over booked at this point saying they did her wrong over booking her . after that the appointment felt rushed . she goes to do my hair next I also have curly hair . 5 mins of leaving the chair my hair was already frizzy i try to asked for something for the frizz least to say it didn't come out well I was a puff ball by the time I got home . when she goes to finish my eldest daughters hair she asked of she could just blowdry style the front where she got dye and dry the back regular I nodded trying to get out of here at this point cause she obviously didn't want to do our hair and I did not feel like telling a hair stylist how to do their job I know it would of turned bad with how I was feeling so I remained silent and nodded so we could just hurry and get out of there . Paid over 300 I left with frizzy hair my eldest left with WET HAIR and the style my youngest had no products were applied so she also felt with frizzy hair . IF YOU DONT HAVE NATRUAL STRAIGHT HAIR THIS PLACE ISNT FOR YOU. Also we got there at 12:50pm the appointment was for 1:15pm didn't get into the chair till 1:25pm and we didn't leave till like 4pm . I expected to see people come in and wait since she was saying she was over booked but no noone came In the whole time so I wasn't sure what kind of over booked she was it was just not giving and i paid money for something that lasted like 20 mins . very disappointing for a high rated salon.
