Delicious. Highly recommend this Hong Kong based dessert shop. If you come during a busy time, be ready to share a table with strangers like you’re back in HK! One of Hui Lau Shan’s signature mango dessert is A4- Mango Chewy Ball. When you dine in, it appears to still be served in a disposable plastic bowl and plastic spoons. Staff members are friendly and efficient except for one young lady. I asked if the mango ice contained milk; she thought so but wasn’t sure and offered to double check. I replied “Yes, can you please check?” and she rolled her eyes. Don’t think this particular young lady ought to be in a customer facing role. But everyone else at Frisco’s Hui Lau Shan has a positive attitude. The Mango Chewy Ball starts with pureed mango, then a scoop of mango ice cream and finally chewy tapioca balls. Refreshing and not too sweet. Pomelo is a large citrus fruit related to grapefruit but very mild and nowhere near as bitter as grapefruit. This dish was very yummy too.
Absolutely hooked and addicted, mango pomelo with sago is a must try, mango yogurt perfect classic. We love Hui Lau Shan so happy we gave it a try. Originally visited the Carrollton location and were counting down until it opened here in Frisco! Definitely a hit no change in quality or consistency between locations give it a try!
This place is by far my most favorite dessert spot! I was so happy when they announced they were opening a location in Frisco. My go to order is A5: Mango Coconut Duo Mix. It is soooo good!! I will keep on coming back :)
Ambience: so clean and nice. Taste - mango, coconut is major.. less sweet.. since natural fruit sweetness is would give 3.5/5 Price - $9.5 for one drink is too pricy.. I wouldn't pay $10 for a regular drink.. bit overrated..
I had such a great experience at Hui Lau Shan. I came in with a friend and honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to order anything because I was trying to avoid sugar, but Janina completely changed the experience for me. She was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took the time to walk me through the menu, explain the different ingredients, and help me find something that actually worked for me. I really appreciated how attentive she was! The food itself was also absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and definitely something I would come back for. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Janina went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience, and it genuinely made such a difference. This was easily some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Between the delicious food and the exceptional service, this was a 5-star experience all around.
