The available customer feedback focuses especially on haircuts, including layered styles and men’s cuts. The business has a 4.5-star rating based on 70 reviews, while the reviews also show that experiences can differ. Reading recent feedback and choosing a stylist thoughtfully can help you decide whether this salon is the right fit for your needs.
Several customers describe positive experiences centered on communication and results. One reviewer says Nancy corrected a layered haircut that had not turned out as expected, with a result the reviewer and her husband were happy with. Another customer praises stylist Ryohei for listening to a haircut reference and helping them leave feeling like themselves. These comments point to the value of sharing what you want clearly and discussing any concerns during your appointment. If you have a specific shape, length, or reference in mind, bring it up before the cut so you and your stylist can make sure you understand one another.
Feedback is not uniformly positive, and some reviewers report dissatisfaction with their haircut or appointment experience. One describes an uneven cut and a disagreement that ended with the customer being asked to leave; another says their experience did not meet expectations despite researching a stylist beforehand. These accounts are important context alongside the favorable reviews. A practical approach is to communicate your priorities at the start, ask questions if something does not look or feel right, and confirm appointment details in advance. The salon may suit customers who value a one-to-one conversation with a stylist, while those with particular preferences may want to explain them carefully before getting started.
The salon is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and is closed on Monday. Its Las Vegas location on W Flamingo Road makes it a local option for residents and visitors seeking a haircut during those hours. Whether you are looking for a layered haircut, a men’s cut, or a stylist who will listen closely to your reference, i Be Salon Japanese Hair & Beauty offers a place to discuss your goals and decide what works for you. Clear expectations and an open conversation can make the appointment more productive.

Nancy did a great job on my hair. I made an appointment before I got to Vegas. The lady who cut my hair, made a huge mess 😭. The layered seemed off, and I asked Nancy to fix it. I trusted her to fix my hair. And the result was amazing. My hubby said my hair looked gorgeous. I wish Nancy lived in Nashville and I’d be her regular customer. Thank you so much, Nancy. I highly recommend her. Below is my hair after wash without any hair products.
I mean just wow. Seriously, I’ve never been out of a haircut and actually felt like myself. Everytime I go it feels like the stylist says ‘oh okay’ to my reference and goes haywire. Ryohei was my stylist and when I tell you he listens, he …
I had a bizarre experience getting my hair cut by Ryohei that ended with him throwing a tantrum and kicking me out of the store. Let me explain. I was a little early for my 11AM appointment men's haircut. He started cutting my hair and it was clearly not even. After washing my hair, he sits me back and snips a little here and there and asks me if I like it. I politely asked him about the evenness of my hair in the back, because it was obvious to me that the right side was shorter than the left. He tells me about the "tornado" pattern of my hair, and it actually is even, it just doesn't look even. Ryohei snips a little more and tells me it's even. I politely ask again about the evenness (because it's obviously not even). At this point he refuses to cut anymore and asks me to leave and "go to a barber shop" because apparently a tortured artist such as himself can't be bothered with plebeian criticism. He tells me "not to pay" and that he "can't work". I shrug and leave, because I'm an adult and have better things to deal with. (All quotes are literally his words.) I feel some doubt on the drive home (maybe I was unintentionally rude?). The funny thing is I get home and the first thing my wife says when I walk in the door is that my hair is weirdly uneven. I get out a ruler and measure it -- the back right side is 0.6-0.7 CENTIMETERS SHORTER than the back left side. It's astonishingly, obviously, factually uneven. She used some shears to fix it to the best of her ability. On top of this, I got a notification that I was charged a $55 no-show fee for my appointment, that I now have to dispute. I guess I did "have to pay". Shoutout to Yukari, she gave me a fantastic haircut last time without the drama. Should have stuck with her.
Had my first official haircut in Las Vegas, and I've been always super reluctant to pay any amount of money for a haircut because I would just do them myself and it would turn out okay anyway, I booked my appointment after my wife …
the salon itself is nice. the staff are respectable. it gets a 2-star from me because of my experience here. so i booked a cut with Toyo or Toya? i’m pretty sure that was his name. his profile said he’s done over 8,000 cuts and so i booked with him thinking i’d get myself right. i did my research on what to say, what to ask for, but the moment i started speaking he just kinda brushed me off mid sentence and just asked for photos. i trusted his instinct at the time since hey, he’s done thousands upon thousands of haircuts, i’m not gonna sit here acting like i know more about hair than he does. but man, the result of this haircut was just not great. if i’m to be blunt about it, it was actually one of the worst haircuts i’ve had in the last few years. 3 weeks later i had to go to Soo Hair Salon to get it touched up because it was just so… unsound. (HIGHLY recommend Soo, they listened to every word i said and checked in multiple times throughout the cut). so i can’t help but feel shafted by this place given my experience here. it wasn’t just a slightly misshapen haircut, the entire fundamentals of it were cooked. the cut just kept growing out worse and worse. this is not a character attack on the stylist here. still a very nice guy who gives good service and i’d recommend him if you have simpler hair that responds well to conservative haircuts and fades. i’m wasian though so my hair is mechanically pretty weird and that’s what i wish the stylist here gave me more time to explain. i have to leave this review because as a business, it helps to hear the client out and respond to their specific needs. especially when they’re paying a decent dollar to go here and get a haircut. again, i do not assume that this is a bad place. the cut comes with a wash and he even offered me a brief shoulder massage. that’s very solid. the specific stylist i went to should simply be more willing to hear out the client, since it’s the client’s haircut and not the barber’s.
