About

Import Motor Cars is an auto repair shop located at 4246 Peralta Blvd in Fremont, California, serving drivers from its Fremont, CA 94536 address. The shop is a practical local option for owners who need a conversation about maintenance or a vehicle concern, rather than a generic description of the problem. With a 4-star rating from 8 reviews, Import Motor Cars has a small but useful body of public feedback for people comparing independent auto repair options in Fremont. The listed weekday schedule also suits drivers who plan service around a regular workweek, while the Peralta Boulevard location keeps the shop within reach for nearby errands and commutes.
Customer comments most often point to European vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, and Porsche. Reviews describe maintenance such as Mercedes-Benz Service B, transmission service, spark plug replacement, brake-fluid service, and oil changes. These examples make Import Motor Cars particularly relevant to Fremont drivers researching an independent shop for scheduled upkeep or a vehicle concern on a European make. One reviewer also described purchasing a Mercedes-Benz through Tito and having a later issue addressed promptly. The available reviews do not provide a complete service menu, so it is best to ask whether the shop can handle your vehicle's specific maintenance interval or repair need. Discuss the recommended procedure, estimate, expected timing, and parts before authorizing work.
The atmosphere suggested by the reviews is direct and diagnostic-focused: customers describe speaking with named staff members including Teo, Frank, and Tito about what a car needs. Several reviewers value straightforward assessments and experience with European cars; one review refers to 45 years of experience. At the same time, feedback is not uniformly positive. Some customers raised questions about parts and a repair outcome, which is a useful reason to request a clear estimate, confirm the diagnosis, and ask about labor or components in advance. This balanced review history gives prospective customers meaningful context without promising a particular result. It may suit drivers who prefer to ask detailed questions and make an informed decision before leaving the vehicle for service.
Import Motor Cars is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is closed Saturday and Sunday. For Fremont, California residents seeking an auto repair shop for Mercedes-Benz or other European-car maintenance, it can be a sensible place to begin a detailed service conversation. Bring the vehicle's symptoms, service history, or maintenance request so the discussion can start with useful information. Whether the visit concerns routine fluid service, scheduled maintenance, or a diagnosis, the shop's Fremont location on Peralta Boulevard keeps this option local for weekday automotive care. Discussing the work needed in advance can help drivers use the shop's listed business hours effectively.

Sign in to reviewI dropped my car off here for some big maintenance including MB service B, transmission svc, spark plugs, brake fluid, etc, and later I came across another review here about them not using OEM parts. I had asked him before and he said they definitely do use OEM so when picking up the car I decided to ask Teo directly and referenced the Kenneth review on Yelp. He said it's wrong and he dug into that incident and the dealer was lying. I've caught dealers lying at least a couple times in the past so I was inclined to believe Teo. He wanted to make it super clear to me and remove doubt so he took me into the shop area and showed me the boxes with the MB branding for the parts he installed. Spark plugs, filters, etc everything was indeed all genuine OEM Mercedes. Teo was telling the truth all along and expressed his frustration with false negative reviews. I told him I'd post this for everybody's benefit. We are lucky to have this shop in our city so we don't have to get price gouged by the dealer, let's give them our business.
I purchased a Mercedes Benz from Tito. When it has an issue, Tito took care of it right away! The only place you need to go If you need work on your European car. With 45 years of experience, they'll be able to keep your car purring.
They lost my trust ! i did my oil change here for my Mercedes. Then when it' time for my next oil change, i was going to this place again but on that date they dont have any room for me. so i just took the car to Mercedes dealer for oil change. This is what Mercedes dealer told me "Who ever did the last oil change on the car used a aftermarket oil filter so when the tech pulled it off it spilt some oil on the front of the engine cause it was so tight. We will steam clean it off but i just wanted to let you know if you see a little bit of oil or smell it, it will burn off but who ever did the last service did not use MB parts". This indy shop is advertising as "we specialize in Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen". i was expected them use OEM parts since "we specialize in Mercedes" and their labor rates is the same as Mercedes dealer! now, i need to find another indy shop for my Mercedes service !
If you want truth and no hype about what is right and wrong with your car be it a BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche and any other vehicle you really are interested in having the best mechanic look at, then take it to Import Motor Cars. Teo is very honest about his assessments and reviews. Teo fix's cars because he's very good at it, and because he enjoys fixing your car the right way the first time. He is well respected by all of his fellow dealership shops and keeps up with the newest and latest in technology standards. You can take a chance on having another shop or dealership look at your vehicle, but after a few returns for the same problem or something else that you know should have been noticed, and the additional wasted cost, just go to Import Motor Cars. I have for more than 20 years. As long as Import Motor Cars has its doors open, I will continue to bring my vehicle problems to them. For rest of you, you can take your chances and money with the other shops. Good Luck, 😎
I had a squeak in the front end and Frank diagnosed it as a bad steering rack. When it didn't fix the problem and $1,200 bucks later he they said sorry we cannot figure it out I asked for a break on the labor and got the runaround. The owner would not call me back. He called when I stopped payment on my AMEX. He was ugly rude and demanding. They failed to correctly troubleshoot the problem. They didn't have a clue so they just replace the most expensive part hoping it would go away. Inexperienced people followed up with unethical business practices. Bad experience!
