Independence Square

Independence Square is a shopping mall at 7207 E Independence Fwy in Charlotte, NC 28227, bringing a variety of shops and restaurants together in one convenient place. It is a practical stop when you have a particular item in mind, need to take care of several errands, or want to browse different kinds of stores without planning separate trips across town. Customer feedback describes a mix of retail, dining, and international grocery options, making the center useful for everyday shopping as well as more specific finds. The center is listed as open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; individual businesses may have their own hours.

A notable part of the variety is access to international products. Reviewers mention Asian and Brazilian markets, including options for shoppers looking for groceries and ingredients that may not be part of a standard supermarket run. One review describes a Korean-owned supermarket with fresh vegetables, Korean appliances, a small food-court area, complimentary prepared food samples, and helpful staff. These details reflect one shopper’s experience rather than a guarantee about every store, but they give a sense of the range visitors may find. Prices can differ between shops, so comparing options is worthwhile when you are looking for a particular product.

The mix of businesses also makes Independence Square useful for pairing a shopping errand with a meal or treat. Reviews mention restaurants and a Dairy Queen, where one visitor stopped for a Blizzard after a home-decorating trip. Home Depot and Harris Teeter are also called out as a convenient combination for people handling home projects and grocery shopping in the same outing. Harbor Freight is noted at the far end of the plaza, near an aircraft engineering school. Store locations and availability can change, so visitors with a specific destination in mind may want to check details before setting out.

The atmosphere described by customers ranges from convenient and peaceful to busy around particular shops, and parking may feel tight at times. One reviewer appreciated a less-crowded visit, while another advised watching for pedestrians near the Super G Mart area. That practical mix of feedback can help first-time visitors plan: allow time to find parking, stay alert while driving through the lot, and compare prices if shopping across multiple markets. With a 4.2 rating from 1,795 reviews, Independence Square is a well-reviewed local option for shoppers seeking varied retail, groceries, dining, and everyday services in Charlotte, North Carolina.
