International Food Bazaar is a well-known gourmet grocery store in San Jose, CA, serving local shoppers at 2052 Curtner Ave with a broad, international selection that keeps people coming back. With a 4.5 rating across more than 1,300 reviews, this market has earned a strong reputation as a neighborhood staple for anyone who enjoys exploring ingredients, pantry goods, and fresh foods from many parts of the world. For locals searching for a global grocery store in San Jose, International Food Bazaar stands out as a place where everyday shopping can feel a little more interesting.

What customers mention again and again is the sheer range of products. Reviewers describe aisles filled with fresh and packaged foods from across different cuisines, making the store useful whether you are restocking basics, cooking a specific family recipe, or browsing for something new. Many shoppers say it is easy to spend a long time here because there is so much to look through. That variety is one of the biggest reasons International Food Bazaar continues to be a go-to gourmet grocery store for households across San Jose and nearby communities.

The atmosphere sounds busy, practical, and full of discovery. Some customers note that the store can feel a bit cramped and that aisles may be narrow, especially because so much merchandise is packed into the space. Lines can also run long during busier times. Still, many reviews frame those tradeoffs as part of what makes the market special: a packed store with a loyal customer base and shelves full of options. It feels especially well suited for home cooks, adventurous eaters, longtime residents, and families who prefer having many international ingredients in one stop.

Beyond groceries, customers also mention prepared foods, including kebab, which adds another reason to visit when you want more than a standard supermarket trip. The store’s long hours are also convenient for local routines, with service from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday. That schedule makes International Food Bazaar an easy stop for weekday errands, after-work shopping, or weekend food runs in San Jose, CA.

Like any busy market, experiences can vary, and one reviewer raised concerns about the quality of a dried vegetable product. Even so, the overall picture from many years of customer feedback is of a store people return to often and remember fondly. For shoppers looking for a dependable gourmet grocery store in San Jose, especially one known for international variety, familiar neighborhood character, and shelves that reward careful browsing, International Food Bazaar remains a trusted local destination.

International Food Bazaar is an incredible supermarket and honestly a bit of a wow experience from the moment you walk in. The selection of fresh and packaged foods from all over the world is impressive, and it feels like you could spend hours exploring every aisle. No matter what cuisine you’re cooking, there’s a very good chance you’ll find what you need here. The deli counter alone is worth the visit. The cold cut selection is massive, with far more options than you typically see at a standard grocery store. I ended up picking up hot capicola and Genoa salami, and both were excellent quality at very reasonable prices. There’s also a huge selection of fresh olives and a hot food section that’s hard to resist. The produce section was another highlight. All the vegetables looked vibrant, fresh, and well cared for, with prices that felt very fair. It’s clear they put a lot of effort into keeping everything stocked and looking great. The dry goods aisles are packed with variety, especially when it comes to spices. If you’re looking for hard-to-find spices or international pantry items, this is absolutely the place to go. Overall, International Food Bazaar is a fantastic market with amazing selection, quality, and value. Highly recommended for anyone who loves to cook or explore global foods.

I am very disappointed with my recent purchase. I usually shop here and have trusted this store for quality products, but this time was completely different. The dried vegetables I bought were full of dirt and dust—absolutely unacceptable. It’s frustrating to see that such a poor-quality product was even stocked on your shelves. I expect International food Bazar to carefully check what they sell before offering it to customers. This experience was very disappointing and has made me question whether I can continue shopping here. Please see the attached images for your consideration.

I have a real problem, I cannot stop coming back to International Food Bazaar and at this point I have fully accepted it!!! This place has been a San Jose staple for years and has been my go-to main supermarket for as long as I can remember. The selection covers everything you could possibly need, from international products to everyday household essentials all under one roof, the kind of variety that makes any other grocery store feel incomplete. What keeps me coming back just as much as the products is the staff. Many of them have been there for years, always friendly, always consistent, always making you feel genuinely welcomed. That kind of familiarity and warmth is something you just cannot put a price on. You come in for groceries and leave feeling like you just visited old friends. This Food Bazaar is a true San Jose international community treasure and deserves every bit of loyalty it has earned over the years. Highly recommend making it your regular stop, you won't regret it

It's a somewhat cramped store with little room in the aisles so it's difficult for more than 1 person to be in an aisle. But that is because they jam sooo much stuff into the store. The variety is awesome. The line is often pretty long. But again, that's because they have so much great stuff and customers love to shop here. They had all of the registers staffed by friendly, efficient cashiers. And multiple people restocking the shelves every time I visit. It's a very clean store, too.

I grew up going here for groceries and getting chocolate from the old owner for speaking a little bit of Arabic. It was always the go to spot for me and my family. Flash forward around 16-17 years and I walk in for the first time again to get some amazing kebab. I walked in not expecting much has changed and it hasn’t, it was great. Was greeted and treated amazing by a man named Ali. Honestly it made my day. Had a great conversation and the whole waiting for the food, the best part of my day. Thanks Ali for making my day. I’ll be sure to come back as soon as I am in town. I appreciate you taking care of me even when I just met you! Not sure you will see this but I hope you do! Highly recommend this bazar. Great foods, cuts of meat, veggies. Everything you are looking for.
