Sign in to reviewThe behavior of the manager need to improved at Jia. This was the worse experienced I've ever had at Jia Kitchen. We ordered the Clams w/ Black Bean Sauce- Nghêu xào tàu xì. The clams were like not cook and done at all. It seems not right, good and fresh. and not hot at all. And the waitress talked to the manager and he said it was only 3 clams left on our plate and rejected to come out to talk to us. That is so DISRESPECTFUL I've ever had in my life to eat out. We're not that hungry to ask for another one or too poor to ask for the refund but at least show the respect, please. At least an apologied. We're not gonna come back ever again!!! Bye Felicia!
Come here all the time for lunch. Some of the best wonton soup you’ll find in Houston. The beef soup w egg and rice is also great. Lots of flavor in the dishes and the service is quick! Highly recommend this place after coming here over a dozen times.
This place is fantastic. I stopped by for lunch today as I wanted to try a new place in KAT. (Katy Asia Town) I drove by this place and the windows pictures drew me in. When I first walked in, this place was soooo cute! I loved all the bright vibrant colors and it was very clean. I was seated immediately and got the spicy edamame and Bun Bo Hue or Spicy Beef noodle. WOW so tasty. First off, never had grilled edamame. I was skeptical but the smoky grill with the blend of spices brought out amazing flavors. It was a nice little appetizer to start the meal. The Bun Bo Hue was big portion, flavorful, and loved the extra cuts of meat on the side. You also get a huge plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes, and cabbage! The broth was soooo flavorful I could drink it all day every day. Yes, a lot of the bad reviews are the food was too hot. Yes my food was pretty hot (temp wise) but why would you complain about that??!?!? Just blow on it and enjoy the great flavors. The service was fast, friendly, and very attentive. I was always swiftly taken care of and didnt have to ask for a thing. I also loved I got the full can of coke with a separate ice! A small touch a lot of restaurants don't think about. A lot of restaurants fill the cup with ice and either give an under portioned pour or half the can! With the food, atmosphere, and great service I highly recommend this place and will be coming back! Side note: If I had to list a criticism it would be the Bun Bo Hue didn't have pigs blood. However, I'm not upset about it. Any asian place I go to always ask if I want pigs blood and get suspicious when I say yes lol. Just wanted to note it but absolutely didn't ruin anything.
Jia Kitchen is a great place to grab chinese/vietnamese food in Katy Asian Town. Huge menu and friendly staff. Food had big portion sizes, had to grab a togo box for both our meals. It was fairly priced too. Overall I would come back!
Jia’s kitchen has been overall a good experience each time we have visited. We are usually seated right away, service is quick, food comes out hot and fresh, and best of all everything tastes so good.
