I had a very disappointing experience with my recent haircut at this salon. I had been growing my hair specifically to get a beautiful long-layered butterfly haircut, and I clearly explained to the stylist that I wanted to keep my existing volume and length while adding the proper butterfly layers. Unfortunately, the result was completely different from what I requested. The haircut did not look like a butterfly or properly layered haircut, and I lost a significant amount of my hair volume. My hair ended up looking much thinner, which was extremely upsetting after spending so much time growing it out. I immediately told them that I was not satisfied with the result. They offered to cut my hair again to adjust it, but after seeing the outcome, I was honestly afraid to let the same stylist cut it further, so I declined. They then suggested that I make another appointment the following week with a more experienced stylist. That was also very surprising and concerning to hear because it made me question why I wasn’t assigned an experienced stylist in the first place, especially for the haircut I specifically requested. Overall, this was a very bad experience for me. I went in expecting a beautiful butterfly layered haircut while maintaining my length and volume, but unfortunately, I left feeling disappointed and unhappy with my hair. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience.
I was supposed to get a big bouncy blowout, and I showed an inspo picture. I told the hairstylist that I’m going to a wedding that day at 6 pm and I needed my hair to last till then. This was my hair less than 30 minutes after the blowout. There was no volume or the bouncy “curls”. She was really nice, so I feel bad for leaving this review. But I had to redo my hair after I got home. This was a waste of time and money ($52).
I had such a great experience at this salon! Brianna did an amazing job with my hair color. I had quite a few questions, and she answered all of them patiently and honestly, which made me feel so comfortable and confident in the process. The end result turned out beautiful — exactly what I was hoping for! Highly recommend Brianna if you’re looking for someone skilled, attentive.

I LOVE this salon! So much in fact, that after years of seeing my stylist here I started bringing my sons because no matter how much I spent at barber shops, they couldn’t get good cuts with style. They even say they never want to go anywhere else. Lauren is my stylist and she’s absolutely the best around, but the entire staff at Jovie is great. They are all so warm and inviting, and the music is always great, too. 10/10!
