Visited kemi dessert bar and tried two things worth talking about. Matcha Raspberry Pastry: A visually stunning piece, the deep red exterior gives way to layers of matcha pistachio cream, dark raspberry jelly, and a lighter raspberry cloud center that’s genuinely the highlight. The matcha flavor is pronounced (in a good way), the jelly has real depth and tartness, and the pistachio note is present but subtle. My only critique: the pistachio flavor felt like a promise the texture didn’t keep, I would have loved actual pistachio pieces for some crunch. The shortbread base is soft and melts into the dessert, so the whole thing leans creamy throughout. Worth sharing rather than eating solo, as the sweetness accumulates. That said, it’s a beautiful, well-crafted pastry. Cherry Jubilee Drink: Asked if they could add a shot of matcha and the team was gracious and accommodating. The result was a genuinely delightful combination — would recommend doing this if you’re a matcha fan. I had the opportunity to visit a few months ago as well, and tried their rice crispy for dessert, a cookie, and cheesecake with a friend, and both of us gave it five stars across the board for every item. Kemi is a special spot. The attention to flavor and presentation is evident, and the staff made the experience better. Happy to have such a stand out in our town and will be back to try more.

Obsessed with Kemi Dessert Bar!! My favorite dessert shop in Seattle, and I'm a major sweet tooth so I have tried many. For me, Kemi gets an edge over other places since they rotate between different sweets/drinks with creative and unique flavors! Plus they both LOOK and TASTE good, which isn't always the case for other places. They also will often do special preorders for holidays. A take out place rather than a sit-down place, but I often take my treats to Atulea nearby to enjoy :) Their basque cheesecakes, cookies, and cake boxes are typically my go-tos!
