Soufflé pancakes are among the most frequently praised treats. Guests describe them as especially fluffy and enjoy flavors such as crème brûlée, mango, ube, and cookies and cream. Taiyaki, the fish-shaped pastry, offers a distinctive Japanese-style snack, while the menu also includes ice cream and shaved ice for a cool, sweet choice. Options may appeal to people who like sampling desserts with different textures and flavors, whether that means a soft pancake, a filled pastry, or a frozen treat. As with any varied menu, individual tastes differ; one review noted that the matcha tiramisu had a gentler matcha flavor, which may suit those who prefer a more subtle taste.
Drinks are another part of the experience, with customer mentions of boba milk teas, boba fruit teas, and other beverages. Reviews also praise the drinks overall, while animal-shaped jellies add a playful detail to some orders. For something savory alongside dessert, guests have mentioned fried chicken and pepperoni taiyaki. These choices make Kichi Taiyaki a useful stop for a mixed group where not everyone is looking for the same kind of treat. The menu combines familiar cafe-style items with Japanese-inspired specialties, so visitors can choose a sweet, a drink, a savory bite, or a combination.
Customers describe the atmosphere as cute, nice, and welcoming, and one family review mentions activities for children to enjoy while waiting. That can make the cafe a comfortable choice for families, casual outings, or a dessert stop with friends. We absolutely loved our experience at this Japanese cafe. The pancake soufflés were exquisite! The fried chicken was insanely delicious. The drinks tasted superb. The customer service was magnificent. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Looking forward to returning soon. We drove over one hour to get to this location and was worth the drive.
My family introduced us to this place and it is very yummy! They got many things on the menu like regular food, but also many deserts like pancakes, shave ice, boba, ice cream, and so much more. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming and they have some activities for the kids to play while you wait for your goodies to be made and served to you. If you’re looking for something to get on a hot day or just feeling something sweet, this is definitely one of the places to go out and try! :D
My family and I visited today 07/04/2026 and ordered three items at Kichi Tayaki Brandon Florida location. We got the mango Japanese pancakes, a savory pepperoni taiyaki (the fish pastry), and a cookies and cream item. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience with the flavours and customer service. The mango topping on the pancakes was completely inedible. It had an overwhelming chemical taste, almost like a strong cleaning agent, and it actually caused a physical burning sensation on my husband's tongue. The cookies and cream item also had that same strange, lingering chemical aftertaste, though it was slightly overpowered by the chocolate flavor. The pepperoni taiyaki was fine, but the sweets were completely ruined. We brought this to the attention of the staff and spoke to both of the gentlemen working at the establishment. While we hoped for a helpful response, unfortunately, they did not offer any mediation, apology, or solution. Because the food felt unsafe to eat, we had to throw the desserts away. I have attached pictures of what we had to toss out. We really wanted to enjoy this spot after seeing these pancakes everywhere, but we left extremely disappointed. Please double check your toppings and prep stations!
The food and drinks were great, the matcha tiramisu lacked some matcha flavor, which people who enjoy stronger matcha flavor may not enjoy as much, but if you prefer a weaker matcha flavor you would most likely enjoy it. The drinks were very good, and not lacking in any element. The ube soufflé cake though, was so good, it was soft like a cloud and melted in my mouth, plus the ube flavor was sooooooooo good, probably the best soufflé cake I’ve ever had. Plus the server was very friendly, he talked to us, and asked on our opinions on the food. Overall, very good, would recommend.
Cute litte dessert shop that has the fluffiest souffle pancakes, boba milk teas, boba fruit teas, animal shaped jellies, taiyaki, and ice cream! We tried the creme brulee souffle pancake and it was delicious! They had an Ube one and I plan …
