🌍 EAT THE WORLD: LA 🌍 I was a bit disappointed in my search for Czech food in Kolache Factory. It wasn’t terrible, but just not exceptional. If you’re looking for pastries, this is a good choice— I actually quite enjoyed the Polish sausage— but as Czech restaurant, it’s nothing special. If I visited looking for pastries, perhaps my thoughts would be more positive.

These Kolaches are new to me but dang, they are so good! I’ve only ever tried their egg Kolaches and every single bite is so so good. It’s as if the egg and bread melt in your mouth the same way a cookie would. 11/10 would recommend. Their egg and sausage ones are so bomb, I think about them often.

Kolache factory is always good for a quick hearty breakfast. The kolaches themselves are good and consistent but the customer service is all over the place. Normally, it’s just passable but I went this morning and it was one of the worst experiences I had. At got there early in the morning and it was obvious the girl behind the counter did not want to be there. She had a constant sour look on her face and was very short. When my wife simply asked if she grabbed the correct amount that she requested, the worker gave her a blank look and gave her attitude saying “that’s what I did”. To the owner, please train your workers better. I shouldn’t have to deal with that negativity because the worker was having a bad day. Update: after receiving the response below, I sent the recap to the email and have yet to receive a response. I guess is they just copy and paste this to any negative review. I gues the owner is just like the employees in that they give care about providing good customer service. Pathetic

I was wanting to try a new place and I drive past this everyday on the way to and from work. I had no idea what a Kolche was so I was unsure what to order. So what is a Kolache? A kolach is a type of sweet pastry that holds a portion of fruit surrounded by puffy dough, or it could also include an egg and meat type of filling. I am more of a savory person for breakfast but I did try the Cream Cheese Kolache. It was not as sweet as a cheese danish, which for me is perfect. My favorite was the Jalapeno Popper. It was oozing with cream cheese and had just enough spice to be delicious. I also purchased chorizo, sausage and egg and ranchero. No, I did not eat all of these by myself. I brought them to work, cut them in half and shared with my coworkers. The cashier asked if I wanted them warmed up, which I did. They are delicious little breakfast delights. I will be stopping by more often to try the other savory selections.
