Sign in to reviewHe deals with Smog check only. His business has been around for over 40 years I've taken all my cars there for the past 20+ years. Very friendly, trustworthy, and reliable. He points out in detail if you fail your smog, check what needs to be fixed. The retest is free. Just a pleasant man to deal with, and the work is done very quickly.
I went in to get an estimate from the owners brother cause they are both the owners but one brother doesn’t work on the cars the other one does. So I went in last weekend to get a quote while both owners were there and I said ok I will come this weekend after finding what I needed to fix after we agreed to a price. So I drove back again this weekend to finally fix it I drove 40 minutes to the shop. I asked the brother who was going to be working on my car some questions about the serpentine belt the part being replaced and he got upset right away because I was asking questions saying people who ask questions are problematic and they just make claims that I ruin there car. I told him its just a couple questions I asked he told me no I dont want to work on your car no more go home dont come back. It’s crazy to know you cant ask simple questions without him flipping out when we already agreed he would fix it the previous week. I just asked him is the current serpentine belt an original or aftermarket, How can I make it last longer? Is there anything I can do to help it last longer? he started going off on me telling me dont come I dont want to do the work no more go somewhere else…... Dont come here if you don’t care about your car seriously you should be able to ask questions and to make sure you know exactly what your fixing and how to prevent problems in the future and to make parts last & feel safe about the person working on your car not pushed away. The only reason I agreed to have my car worked on here was because of the good price he gave me. But after the way he was treating me for just asking simple questions it aint worth it its about respect and I did not get that here. So if you like being disrespected and dont ask questions type of mechanics come here. Ill stick to my own mechanic.
Good service and reasonable price
I’ve been bringing my family’s cars to Mr. Lam for 20 years or so. It is hard to find a shop you can fully trust and Lam’s Autoworks is exactly that. They do quality repairs in a timely manner and their prices are great. Very thankful to have found this shop and refer friends whenever I can.
