I had such an amazing experience at La Colonial. The flavors transported me right back to SE ASIA. The beef dumplings instantly took me right back to Vietnam, The rice paper they’re wrapped in was so fresh and authentic, it really made the dish stand out. The crab avocado salad was beautifully presented and incredibly unique, and the miso curry sauce (I believe that’s what it was) was absolutely delicious and tied everything together perfectly. The real highlight for me was the shaken beef entrée! The quality and flavor of the beef was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. You can really tell there’s care and creativity behind the menu. A special thank you to Maddie for the warm hospitality and for making the entire experience such a great one. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Elegant French-Vietnamese cuisine, but slightly disappointing compared to our previous experience in Atlanta, where everything seemed perfect. I had the spicy chicken stir-fry. While the chicken was overcooked, I overlooked it because the sauce and mushrooms were absolutely amazing. The sea bass was flavorful and well-prepared, but the accompanying vegetable was served at barely warm. We also had to send the miso salmon back because it was overcooked and the boy chok was almost cold. Perhaps it was just an off night for the kitchen, but despite the execution issues, the flavors were still eclectic, fresh, and vibrant. I'd be willing to give it another try.
Beautiful decor, lovely vibes, and wonderful service! I thought the food was ok for the price. Definitely get the shaking beef—that was a highlight! The beef was sooo tender and delicious. The coconut banana tapioca pudding was a highlight as well. Yummy, creamy tropical flavors and not too sweet! Drinks were also tasty and strong.
Just amazing! Such a cool, hip vibe and amazing service! The cocktails were incredible, awesome ceviche, all of our dinners were so delicious and five star Service! The decor inside is incredible on each room, shares a story and feels like you went back in time! The best!
Great staff! Wildly inconsistent serving sizes. 7/4/26 orders two pho’s that barely filled half the bowl. $18. Thought okay nicer place, smaller portions. Well we ordered another bowl to share because it was so small and this bowl come out filled to the top. They even look wildly different and the second, fuller bowl tasted much better.
