I was referred to Lewis Auto Service (LAS) by my neighbor. I have a 2011 Dodge Nitro 3.7L. I went to LAS and spoke with Austin, who provided great customer service. LAS performed the necessary diagnosis and confirmed that my vehicle had blown head gaskets. LAS gave me a reasonable price for the repairs and a breakdown of the cost. A few days later, the repairs were complete and my vehicle was good to go. Based on my specific repairs, which were extensive, LAS even warranties the repairs for 12 months. A minor issue came up about two weeks later, which can happen when such extensive repairs are performed, and LAS took care of the issue at no charge and even delivered the vehicle to my home (Note: I do leave in Pearland). It's been approx.. two months since the repairs and my vehicle is running GREAT! Lewis Auto Repair provides great customer service, quality auto repair, and back's up their work...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I have been a customer of Lewis Auto for several years and in the beginning their service and quality was really good. I have several vehicles and have taken most of them to Lewis but things started to go down hill a few years ago. So I took my jeep to them to diagnose an issue (one that they were never able to figure out) and while my jeep was there I had $37 in cash removed from my center console and when I contacted them about it they basically just blew me off. Most recently I took my sons Honda pilot to them and they informed that the transmission needed to be replaced because the housing was cracked. I figured something had to have hit the transmission while driving so I filed a claim with my insurance who requested that I have the vehicle taken to the Honda dealership for inspection. That was when I was informed that the issue was due to a broken tranmission fluid pressure switch. When I picked up the Honday from Lewis I thought I had been charged a diagnostic fee so I called them to talk to them about what the Honda dealership determined (Lewis Autos almost cost me several thousand dollars). This is when I dsicover that on the invoice I got from them it says remove and repair transmission line plus 6 quarts of Honda transmission fluid for a total of $242, yet stapled to my invoice is a receipt for $250. It just boils down to shady business practices, because why would they repair something that they told me needed to be replaced, and why would they fill a leaking transmission that they told me needed to be replaced. And why did they charge me an extra $8. This will be the last time that I use their service because I have concluded that they seem to no longer care about service quality. It really is sad since they used to be great. I would suggest looking elsewhere for service unless you want to spend thousands replacing something that does not need to be replaced.
I encountered an issue with my vehicle, which began consuming oil and ultimately became inoperable while I was driving. I arranged for a tow to Lewis Auto Service and communicated regularly with a representative named Christian. He assured me that I could leave my vehicle at their facility for as long as needed while we worked to resolve the issue with Kia. Over the years, I maintained contact with the service center, and my husband made periodic visits to check on the vehicle's status. Recently, I received a notice indicating that my vehicle had been towed to a storage facility. Upon calling the number provided, I spoke with a representative named Kay, who informed me that Lewis Automotive had instructed the towing of my vehicle. In an effort to clarify the situation, I contacted Lewis Automotive again and spoke with Christian. He claimed that he had attempted to call multiple times but was unable to reach anyone. However, I informed him that we had not received any messages, and my husband had visited the service center just prior to the holidays without being made aware of any issues. The conversation became heated, and he eventually hung up on me. I subsequently followed up with the owner, Faustino, who reiterated Christian's position but did not provide any new information. I have also confirmed with my cellular provider that no calls were received to my phone from their business number, which both Christian and Faustino indicated would have been the source of the calls. This experience has raised significant concerns regarding the communication practices at Lewis Auto Service. It appears that they proceeded to tow my vehicle without my consent, leading me to advise potential customers to exercise caution when considering their services. They are liars and have deceptive trade practices. Check out their reviews on Yelp! Get ready for the BBB too! I am in touch with our attorney.
Amazing, fast and reasonably priced service. I have used them so many times and they always do a great job. I wouldn’t take my vehicles anywhere else. Thank you Christian!
