Customer feedback repeatedly highlights cuts shaped around specific requests rather than a one-size-fits-all result. Haircut requests in the reviews range from a modest two-inch trim to bigger changes in shape and movement. Guests describe receiving long layers, face-framing curtain bangs, bobs shaped from lobs, and cuts that retain desired length. In one account, a stylist clarified that the client already had long layers before proceeding, helping set expectations for the final result. Other clients say they brought photos and felt the finished cut closely followed the requested style. This photo-aware, conversational process is valuable for anyone with an inspiration image who also wants realistic guidance based on their current cut.
Reviews name stylists Oggie and Bayan for precise, efficient work, including a photo-guided cut and a layered bob with curtain bangs. Several customers also single out the feeling of being heard: one says the stylist kept the hair long while creating layers, while another appreciated having the perfect amount removed. A women's haircut with blowout is also mentioned in a review, alongside an affordable price noted by that customer. The recurring strength is not one fixed look, but an approach centered on listening, confirming details, and shaping a cut around the client's requested balance of length, layers, and framing.
The atmosphere comes through in these customer accounts as approachable and practical, with service described as friendly, efficient, and attentive. Lhasa Hair Salon may suit Berkeley residents, newcomers, and nearby visitors who want routine maintenance or a more noticeable refresh without overcomplicating the appointment. It is particularly relevant for trims, layered cuts, curtain bangs, and bob-style changes; one reviewer with thick, straight Asian hair reported being happy with the result. If you are seeking a hair salon in Berkeley, CA where reference photos and personal preferences can guide the consultation, this University Avenue salon offers a well-reviewed place to start. For people comparing local options, the steady pattern in these reviews can make the decision feel more informed.

Sign in to reviewFinally found the hairdresser that can cut my hair just the way I like it. Showed Oggie a picture and she cut it perfectly. Thank you.
I got around 2 inches trimmed from my hair overall, long layers, and trimmed my face framing curtain bangs. I initially asked for short layers but the auntie pointed out that I currently had long layers (I was unaware of this) so I was fine going with long layers as opposed to short layers! She cut my hair quickly considering how much detail and care she put into making sure all the layers were even (~35 minutes). When I asked her to trim more off of my bangs, she was more than happy to do so and checked the length with me before finishing up. The auntie was very nice and made me feel comfortable during the session (I am often nervous, as most people are, that I’ll come out with a crazy haircut haha). The total came out to only $35. I will definitely come back here again!
I wanted to cut my lob into a bob with layers and got some curtain bangs. Bayan did an amazing, efficient, precise job. I showed her some pictures beforehand and I am very happy with how it turned out. Very affordable. I have thick Asian straight hair.
I’m so glad to have come across this place—I recently moved to the area and was pleased to find an affordable hair salon. The service was great and so efficient! She cut off the perfect amount and added some long layer — my hair is looking so healthy! Found my go to spot :)
I got a Woman’s Hair cut + Blowout for $35 She kept the length long for me and created the most lovely layers. I was truly impressed because it was the first salon that listened. I highly recommend! ♡
