Lien Phuong Hair & Nail is a neighborhood beauty salon located at 8912 Bolsa Avenue in Westminster, California. Positioned along the busy Bolsa corridor in Orange County's well-known Little Saigon district, this salon has served the local Vietnamese-American community and surrounding residents for several years. The shop maintains convenient hours, operating every day of the week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing flexible scheduling for customers seeking affordable hair and nail care in the Westminster area.

The salon offers a variety of services including haircuts, blowouts, styling, color treatments, highlights, and nail care. Pricing remains one of the shop's more attractive features—customers have reported basic haircuts starting around $14, which is competitive for the Westminster area. Stylist Minh has received favorable mentions from customers who appreciated precise cuts and thoughtful styling afterward. Long-time patrons who have returned over multiple years have generally reported consistent, satisfactory results, particularly those who value a straightforward, efficient approach to routine hair maintenance.

Some customers have found that even when the outcome differed slightly from their initial vision, the results were still appealing. One reviewer, for example, requested wispy bangs but received fuller ones—and ultimately found them "cute" and well worth the price. This kind of flexibility and willingness to adapt has kept certain clients coming back, especially given the salon's accessible pricing structure and convenient location in the heart of Westminster.

It's important to note that customer experiences have been varied, which is reflected in the salon's current rating. Some visitors have encountered communication challenges, particularly with more complex services like color treatments and highlights. A few reviewers mentioned that stylists didn't always fully capture the exact shade or technique they envisioned. Others noted that service could feel hurried at times. To help ensure a more satisfying visit, bringing reference photos and clearly describing your desired outcome can make a meaningful difference. Being specific about color, length, and style helps the stylist understand your expectations before work begins.

Despite mixed feedback, Lien Phuong Hair & Nail continues to attract customers who appreciate its accessible Bolsa Avenue location, seven-day availability, and budget-friendly pricing. Situated in the heart of Westminster's Little Saigon, the salon remains a practical choice for those seeking routine hair care and styling without the premium price tag. For anyone looking for a straightforward, affordable beauty salon in the area, this local establishment offers a convenient option for everyday grooming needs.

I came here for brown highlights originally, and all the lady heard was highlights. I even showed her a picture, and she continued to insist that she would make me look like her (hairstylist's hair was BLONDE). First off, the ends are the same color (I have black hair btw), and the roots are YELLOW. You can see where the color divides black to yellow- no blending AT ALL. It was horrendous. DO NOT go here. I promise they won't listen to any request. My brother has always been going here to get his hair cut, and he always hated it. They never followed requests, but it got the job done since it grew out ok. It was honestly on me for trusting this place to dye my hair because thinking back, if they can't even follow a simple haircut then they would not be capable of coloring. Also the hair cut. I asked for layers and she gave me straight up choppy ends and cut off all my hair when I clearly stated multiple times 3 inches. Btw, it is not just this lady. Every time my brother went in was a different person, and none of them could follow directions.

It was a terrible experience here. My friend recommended me this salon so I came there to get my hair cut. I came in and the was one lady was available but she seemed like rushing to go somewhere so I told her I could wait but she invited me to sit down anyway. After that was like hell to me. She pulled my hair so hard even I told her several times that I’m hurt, she kept doing it. She even blamed me that my hair was dirty! She barely used scissor to cut my hair. She used the thing looks like razor to trim my whole hair and it wasn’t sharp so she pulled really hard and hurt me so many times. The whole experience was only 5 minutes for a hair cut. It was $15, I gave her $20 and she didn’t give me my change! I didn’t wanna tip for that kind of service! It’s ridiculous I had to pay and tip for the service that hurt me so bad, didn’t take good care of my hair and even blamed me that my hair was dirty (I even washed it before I came)! For anyone who wonder, that was the chubby blonde lady, that day when I was there she was wearing hot pink lipstick and my friend has never received any service from that lady so she didn’t know.

I asked for wispy bangs but the style I got was different, I got fuller bangs instead. It doesn’t look bad, I think it’s cute actually. For 14 dollars, it’s great. The bangs I got were the perfect length and my hair stylist, Minh, styled it afterwards too. I went another time in the past as well and I find that if you want a more accurate haircut from Minh, you would want to request layers for long hair and if you want, curtain bangs. I can’t speak for other hair stylists here, but if you go, I would recommend you request for Minh.

This place is sad. Feels like a funeral home. No smiles, not friendly, no customer service at all over the phone nor in person. Would not recommend this place at all since there are more friendly places for a hair cut. If you do insist on coming here then at least avoid the fat gal that sits at the first station on the right.
