Lion Plaza is a well-known shopping center in East San Jose, offering a mix of Vietnamese restaurants, grocery stores, and specialty shops. The plaza is home to Lion Supermarket, which carries a wide selection of Asian ingredients, fresh produce, and seafood, making it a convenient stop for those looking for authentic flavors. While the plaza has a variety of dining options, some areas feel a bit outdated, and parking can be challenging during peak hours. Despite this, it remains a central hub for the local Vietnamese community, providing access to traditional foods, household essentials, and cultural goods.
One of the OG Vietnamese plazas in the area. Is it the first? Not sure. BUT it's one with a decent market, a couple of good restaurants, and a ton of bakeries! It used to have a pond, but that's been closed up for a while. The food court is a bit depressing on a weekday, but I'm sure it gets packed on the weekends.
