We stopped here for a little sweet treat and it did not disappoint. I ordered the pretty basic waffle with the bananas and whipped cream and it was delicious. We tried to keep it simple to satisfy a sweet tooth. The waffle was big enough to share with my son, it's not huge but it's just big enough to satisfy that sweet tooth and not be overly full. We used the kiosk to order, it did take probably about 7 minutes for the waffle to come out so don't expect it to be out instantaneously, give yourself some time. Besure to take advantage of the happy hour when the prices are reduced.

Absolutely delicious, perfectly chewy, homemade tasting Belgian waffles. They don’t need any topping at all - they taste amazing without the powdered sugar, and the rainbow sprinkles made them extra sweet (but if anything, the waffles could be less sweet). A very generous serving of sprinkles and a relatively large waffle for about $6! 😋 haven’t seen any other Belgian waffle place like this in the area, so it’s also very unique!

not sure what i was expecting when i ordered their "iced matcha tea" but it definitely was not flavorless murky water with no taste of matcha at all. this is why we leave certain things to the pros. not to mention the worker refused to let me switch out the drink and forced us to pay more even though we used the 20% discount at check out so there should have been no price difference paid. terrible customer service, when we went to pick up our order they literally just stared at us and didn't take action until like 6 other people joined the line. i remember little gem used to be so amazing and the waffles were actually good, now it's just cold and tasteless junk with rude workers. waste of time and money.

My favorite waffle place in Berkeley. Whenever you walk pass through this place, you can't resist the sweet aroma coming from it, makes you wanna stop & buy the waffle. You can either order existing menu or customize your waffle. The waffle texture was great, it was crispy, with pearl sugar already baked together in it - a typical belgian waffle-. If you order with ice cream, just be carefull that the ice cream was easily melted. The price was cheaper 2 years ago, and then it kept getting more and more expensive 🥲 Unfortunately, they don't provide seating place. That's a shame. I usually seat in berkeley chess club at the nearest intersection of Telegrap Ave & Haste st, and pretending to play the chess lol. Or i just simply go to MLK building or Upper sproul hall only to eat this.
