Loro Asian Smokehouse & Bar

First time here and it was good! We had family visit from out of state and tried this on a whim. We tried a little bit of everything. Their food is served as ready which was nice. We could eat a little bit of everything without getting stuffed. We definitely took advantage of that. We loved the tostados and corn fritters. The butchers cut was my favorite while the others were torn between the ribs and pork belly. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. They were happy to turn on the FIFA game for us. It was casual and had a nice outdoor sitting area as well.

Amazing from start to finish. I loved the outdoor seating, and the dog-friendly touches were a great surprise. The complimentary dog treats were super cute and a thoughtful detail. The steak bowl and salmon bowl were both delicious and satisfying - honestly, I would’ve eaten here again if I hadn’t run out of days. The drinks were refreshing and well-balanced, perfect for the setting. The corn fritters were good, keep in mind they’re definitely more of a shareable plate. They don’t reheat well, so they’re best enjoyed fresh at the table. I'm not sure I'd order them again. Overall, Loro is a great spot for good food, good drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere. Would absolutely return.

Having recently moved to Dallas from Columbus, Ohio (surprisingly a Foodie’s paradise) and San Francisco before that, I’m still in search of a great (in not, just decent) Chinese restaurant in the greater Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. If you have any recommendation please feel free to reply here. In the absence of real good Chinese food, I’ve happily turned to Thai, Viet and Asian Fusion restaurants, of which I have found several excellent places, with Loro falling in the Thai >> Asian Fusion category. And I loved this place. I originally heard about Loro from an IG post which promoted their $3 Tuesday slushy martinis. Unfortunately I went on Wednesday for lunch. But has I not been working I might have opted for one of their everyday Boozie Slushies, as each one sounded incredible. I had the Crispy Thai Pork Ribs and they were sensational. Really scratched my itch. The serving size was very generous. I also like the vibe of the place, which seemed to be one-of-a-kind. I went to the Dallas location which was a little off the beaten path for being downtown (so-to-speak) and parking was plentiful. I highly recommend this place and I’m looking forward to trying their other locations.

I have visited Loro's East Dallas location maybe five times in the last two years. I love it there. Hands down one of the best Asian fusion restaurants in DFW, let alone Dallas. (K-Pop Ramen is very good as well!) This review, then, is overdue. One of Loro's standout features is the customer service. I am always greeted the moment I walk in. I always sit at the bar and there, too, I am consistently taken care of. BUT the food. Ohhhh boy, the food. The fusion of flavors. Salty, smokey, umami. Fresh, tangy, sweet. Everything is prepared and cooked with attention to detail. I have enjoyed the following: Spicy Japanese Curry Ramen special, Chicken Karaage, Fried Corn Fritters, Oak Smoked Brisket, and various rice bowls, including the Curry Marinated Shrimp and the Bangkok Spicy Fried Chicken.

I went to the Austin location not long after it opened and liked it, so thought I’d try this one. The food was fine. The space was clean and bright. What was not fine was the service. There were 10 people in the restaurant. 4 tables of 2 and 2 people at the bar., so it was not busy. Yet, we had to get up twice to get our own water refills and then got up a third time to get our own to go box. Then when handed the pay machine the waitress was busy looking off into space the other direction, so I just put the machine down on the table. Why my boyfriend gave her a 20% tip I’m not sure because she sure didn’t earn it.
