Customer feedback reflects a mix of experiences, while several drivers specifically describe the value of finding a repair shop they can trust. One longtime customer returned with a Jeep Grand Cherokee after a dealership repair shop closed, citing the shop's established presence and quality-focused service. Another customer shared that the team had previously handled brake work on a 2010 G37x, then completed a later engine-performance repair by the following noon after the vehicle was dropped off near closing time. For drivers balancing an unexpected car issue with a busy Dallas routine, clear diagnosis and efficient turnaround can make a meaningful difference.
Lovefield Auto Repair has also received feedback for diagnosing a serpentine-belt-related breakdown. In that case, a customer reported that Javier identified a faulty belt tensioner after their vehicle stopped near the shop, and the repair was completed in roughly three hours. This kind of experience may be especially relevant for drivers dealing with sudden mechanical concerns, including belt and tensioner issues, braking needs, engine performance problems, or air-conditioning concerns. As with any automotive service, customers may find it helpful to discuss symptoms, recommended repairs, timing, and costs directly before authorizing work.

Sign in to reviewHONEST QUALITY. After my dealership repair shop closed, I was looking for a place I could trust for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I remembered 's Love Field Auto Repair from years ago when I had a different vehicle and decided to give them a try. They're award-winning and under new ownership now, but best I can tell the quality has remained just like it always was. When you look here on Google you will see tons of great reviews and my experience seems to be no less having just picked my Jeep back up from having a lot of work done. They fixed AC, 125k service, belts, leaking thermostat and a host of other things. Most importantly parts are covered 2 years and labor for one year. The manager is Lloyd, and he does a really good job of working with you and helping you understand what needs to be done. I very much also appreciated their text-based communication tool so you can text back and forth with them but also digitally get your estimates and updates on the work being done. I have two remaining things that I need to have done for my Jeep, and I will come back to Love Field Auto Repair for the work. Thanks Lloyd!
I broke down across from this shop because my serpentine belt came out. Javier diagnosed the tensioner belt was bad. After 3 hours they finished and it cost me in total for labor and parts $533.45. I asked other mechanics how long it takes to replaced it and they told me an experience mechanic will do it in less than an hour. They were nice but I know that this was a one job opportunity and they took advantage of the opportunity because I didn't have a choice. I asked a few others about this shop and one person told me that it wasn't his first choice but they were reliable. I heard Javier telling another customer about a job that will take 5 hours and will cost $900 so I thought they would charge around $180 per hour. If you break down near them, just know it can be pricey. P.S. After two hours, I asked Javier how much longer it would be and he said about another hour. So my boss asked me to take an Uber to work and leave the truck there. So I told the mechanic that I needed my belongings and that is when he said it would be done in 15 minutes.
Came randomly to change my license plate and look what they did to my car ceiling after. It is such a careless service
I'm a bit disappointed how men in the auto repair business will try to take advantage of women. I randomly stopped by this shop 1 week ago because my ac would blow hot when idle but cold otherwise. I was asked about putting in refrigerant, and I said some was put it (might have put too much). My refrigeratent was checked, and I was told the levels were good after whatever was done. I was told it was the compressor and J.R. suggested a complete ac overhaul for my 2017 Honda Accord for $1300. Don't get me wrong, J.R. was very nice and respectful plus told me to keep the $100 for checking the refrigerant to save for the $1300. As a woman, I have learned to get a 2nd or 3rd opinion. Bottom line I needed a fan and my air has been super cold since. This repair shop wasn't for me but could be for you. Ladies be careful out there with your money.
Left car before closing and done before noon next day!!!! “Jackie” ‘2010 G37x engine started missing suddenly on freeway got to my exit and performance of car was poor car has 183k miles has been trouble free since I purchased car with 20k miles on it in 2013 this shop has worked on the brakes and other lil items and every time this shop pulls through five stars all the way straight shooters here if anyone gives a bad review in my experience it’s because they themselves are idiots or don’t have any idea on how to maintain a vehicle.
