This was my 7 year old daughter’s first time getting Knotless braids and it was such a great experience! I was nervous because she’s tender headed but the whole experience was amazing. Coretha is so good with kids and is so gentle. I appreciated that she ensured my daughter was going to be happy with her hairstyle before she started by explained exactly what her style would look like and she also found the PERFECT pop of color that my daughter loves. We are new to braiding so her thorough communication was reassuring. She checked the health of her hair, looked for breakage, and discussed best timing for her next trim. She also has so many snacks and drink options and allows kids to take as many breaks as needed. We never felt rushed and I really think kids pick up on that energy. My daughter loved her and Ms. Candace as well. We did Knotless braids and they are perfectly even, uniform, and have a beautiful wave to them. As a parent I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Coretha throughout the appointment. She does so much for the community and I can’t wait to take one of her braiding workshops. Her salon is so cute and parking was easy. Overall such a great experience! Highly recommend.

Coretha is not only professional but also incredibly talented. She went above and beyond to make sure my braids came out exactly how I wanted them, and the execution was flawless. I have been hearing about Coretha's work and services for a while and finally was able to get in contact with Hair Fairy herself to get my daughter's hair done and was absolutely and completely satisfied ! If you're a busy mom, and still learning your little one's hair please go see Coretha at the Luminaire Lounge ! All I had to do was book and bring my little one in and she was able to get a full service of washing/conditioning and blow drying done before her braids. The service also included the braiding hair with a perfect color match which helps take out the guess work for those of us who are still learning the hair game ! The hair was perfect, clean, and neat and done with patience and gentleness. My little one was definitely feeling herself with some cute butterfly hair jewelry added before taking pictures on the purple princess chair and then sent home with a goody hich helps with postive reinforcement for doing a good job during her appointment. Was a great time to talk with a stylist who was so friendly and also giving me some pointers to try and maintenence both of our hair home. We will be back again. Thank you again Coretha !

Coretha is hands down the best braider in the Northwest. We’ve been going to her for 7 years, and all four of my daughters and I have been blessed to have her do our hair. Her space is more than just a place to get your hair done it’s safe, welcoming, and truly feels like home. The way she pours into the youth and shows up for the community is unmatched. Professional, clean, and consistently amazing work every single time. We’re beyond grateful for her!
