One long-term client shared that they have returned to Michael for hair design over many years, valuing the consistently satisfying results. Other reviews also mention Edison positively for women's haircuts. A well priced and quality salon! Yes there is a language barrier so please go in with pictures and Google Translate. They get it done efficiently and not as long as other salons without compromising the quality.

The hairstylist designs the most suitable hairstyle based on each client’s individual features and needs. For the past eight years, I’ve always had Michael design my hair. During the pandemic, when he wasn’t working, I tried a few other stylists, but none of them achieved satisfying results.

I saw them on IG and thought I would check them out sice the pictures and videos they showed looked pretty good. I called and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment I showed up, the guy that helped me didn't say ANYTHING, not even hi. He put the cutting cape on me and grabbed the scissors. Which was weird to me because the stylist usually asks questions on what you want BEFORE they even grab the scissors. This guy didn't, so I asked him if he wanted to see a picture of what I was looking for. He said "ok". Everyone in there was Asian and were speaking their language, so I wondered if the guy could even understand me, but I didn't want to be rude. I figured that as a professional if he couldn't understand me that he would ask one of them to translate, and be straight forward and just tell me he couldn't understand me. I decided to trust the process. In the middle of him cutting my hair, the stylist next to him comes and stands right behind me, looks down at my hair, says something to the guy cutting my hair in their language and they both start laughing. Mind you, there's a mirror right infront of us, they can see that I can see them. I immediately felt extremely uncomfortable. I wanted to say something but he was almost done cutting my hair. After he was done cutting my hair he tried to curly my hair with a round brush that he almost got stuck in my hair. I wondered why he would try to curl my hair with a round brush if they clearly had a hair curler. But then I thought ok, maybe he's got a different technique that I've never seen. When he finished and it was time to pay I gave him my card, he then turns the machine towards me and says "you give tip" I said I'll give cash for the tip. I gave him a $20 tip. I get home I tried to do my hair differently because the "curls" didn't last, and I see my hair is uneven. I was extremely disappointed. It was a horrible experience and made me feel extremely unwelcome. How do you make people of another race feel so unwelcome but still take their money and force them to tip when you didn't even try to communicate or even tried to do a decent job? I don't recommend this place. Unless you're Asian, you will not receive proper services you're paying full price (and tip) for.

This is one of the best salons i’ve been to in a while for a woman’s haircut. I’ve gone to Edison twice and he does a phenomenal job!!! I’m not too picky with how I like my cuts, I usually get long layers with curtain bangs or flowy front sieves. I give minimal direction and I always end up loving my hair. He really takes his time and pays close attention to detail. Overall, I think the stylists know how to work with Asian hair the best because they are a Chinese salon. It will be a bit difficult to communicate if you’re not Chinese-speaking… I’ve seen other reviews where they mention that they’re not the best with on-time appointments and I will say that I have experienced that the past few times I went as well. Also I wish they used conditioner during the hair wash because my hair gets really dry without it.

M2 Salon is hands down the go-to place for a great haircut, and Michael is simply fantastic! He’s skilled, detail-oriented, and really listens to what you want. Every time I visit, I walk out feeling fresh and confident with a haircut that’s exactly what I envisioned. Michael’s professionalism and friendly personality make the experience even better. He takes the time to ensure everything is perfect, from the fade to the finishing touches. The salon itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, making it a comfortable place to relax while getting a top-notch cut. If you’re looking for a reliable barber who delivers great results every time, I can’t recommend Michael at M2 Salon enough. Definitely a five-star experience!
