Food: My partner and I enjoyed the soups we ordered: Pork Neck Bone and Beef Short Rib. Both were nicely flavored and had a decent serving of meat. To share, we also got the Seafood Pancake, which was pretty hefty! However, it was a bit batter-heavy, which kind of overpowered the seafood taste. The Banchan was standard. Still great overall. Would like to try the Spicy Stir-fried Squid next time! Service: No complaints! We were seated immediately upon walking in, and our orders were taken and food arrived promptly. Virtually no wait on a Wednesday afternoon. Also, two servers constantly checked in on us. Ambiance: Casual. Parking: Ample parking. Located in a plaza.

Authentic and delicious Korean food in Carrollton, TX. What we had: Ox bone soup Pork neck bone soup Spicy stir-fried squid Grilled pork ribs The ox bone soup comes unseasoned, so you’ll need to add your own salt and pepper. Honestly, I had fun seasoning it myself and adjusting the flavor to my liking! That said, I still preferred the spicy pork neck bone soup since it was already packed with flavor and I love spicy food. The pork ribs and stir-fried squid were also so tasty, with a delicious smoky flavor. Overall, a really solid spot for authentic Korean comfort food in Carrollton. Everything felt hearty, flavorful, and satisfying!

Came for the pork ribs and definitely worth the trip. Prices are very fair and the portions are generous. U won't leave hungry. The seafood pancake was slightly disappointing as it wasn't that special. It was still doughy even though the exterior was crispy. Not enough seafood in the pancake for the price. Besides the two prawns and the krab, I had to dig for the others like squid etc. come for the ribs.

Located in Hmart plaza with tons of competitive options. Maht is the place to go when you want to have Korean style ribs and basically meat based dishes. Have gone multiple times and has always been consistent with quality of food and service. A sleeper is the spicy version of Seolleongtang. Had it for the first time and it was very rich in savory flavor and had excellent heat.

I’ve been going to the original Maht Gaek in Plano and have been a huge fan. We finally had a chance to go to the Carrollton location and I can say that our experience was just as good as the ones we had at the OG location. The portions here are huge and most of the entrees are meant to be shared so it’s generally best to come with a group. The Galbijjim is amazing and our favorite dish. However, it’s fairly expensive and will set you back $90. The baked pork ribs with the original sauce are also a winner and a lot more affordable. Can’t go wrong with either!
