Marufuku Ramen Serramonte

I’ve been to Marufuku quite a few times and already love the brand but this was my first time at the Serramonte location We came on a holiday and pretty much every restaurant around the mall was packed so I honestly expected a long wait and slow service but everything moved way faster than I thought The team was super organized and even though they were busy we never felt ignored or rushed What surprised me the most was how kid friendly this location isI’ve been to a lot of ramen places in California and I honestly don’t think I’ve seen many restaurants do this much for kids The kids meal was around $10 and came with a small ramen, fries, veggies, jelly, juice and a little toy and then they brought out the gacha gacha too which was such a cute surprise My kid was so excited and for around ten dollars the value is actually kind of crazy in the best way It wasn’t just a kids meal it felt like a whole little experience for them and that made the meal so much easier and more fun for us too The ramen was delicious and came out really fast especially considering how busy it wasOur server was great but the hostess was honestly the person who stood out the most She was so sweet, patient and genuinely helpful from the moment we walked in You could tell she was busy but she still took the time to explain everything and make sure we were comfortableThat kind of kindness really changes the whole experience especially when you’re dining with kids I already liked Marufuku before coming here but this Serramonte team made me like the brand even more Good food, fast service, amazing value for kids and such kind hospitalityDefinitely coming back

We visited as a group of four and all had a great time. The customer service was excellent from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the Hakata Tonkotsu DX and the Ila Karaage that we shared. The meat portions were generous, perfect for meat lovers like myself, and the broth was rich, flavorful, and satisfying. My friends also loved the chicken karaage and the chicken paitan. Overall, a wonderful dining experience we’d happily return for.

Visited as a group of 6 around 5:30pm on a Tuesday. We put our name on the waitlist and waited about 10 minutes for a table. We mostly ordered the chicken ramen and the tonkotsu deluxe. My birthday girl also tried their matcha. Matcha was too watery for our taste and my husband wasn't a fan of the big chunk of pork in his deluxe ramen (the regular probably would have sufficed), but the chicken ramen git 2 thumbs up from those that ordered it. Overall ramen was tasty and the damage for us came to around $170 with tip, so not too bad in our opinion and both service and the food were both great. Definitely recommend if youre in the area and craving some ramen.

Located by the Dick's Sporting Goods wing of Serramonte and across from the revolving sushi restaurant, the wait for Marufuku on a Sunday evening at 6:30 was 30 minutes. My first bowl of Marufuku ramen was back in 2017 when they opened in Japantown. We finally have a Hakata style ramen restaurant in Daly City nine years later in 2026. My usual order is a Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen $21.50 and an off-menu appetizer, the sizzling chicken leg $8. Their ramen broth can be described as a white colored creamy broth, refined, gentle on the tonkotsu taste where it is not overpowering and a clean aftertaste. I enjoyed it. It doesn't have that wow factor anymore as the bay area have upped our ramen choices. The piece of pork belly with the DX is about half the size of what it used to be. (Reviewed my old photos to compare.) The chashu pieces were also smaller. I liked how it all fell apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks. As for the chicken leg, this was good. It had a sweet glaze, served on a bed of bean sprouts. As someone who goes to Japan a lot, this meal was OK. When I was in Fukuoka (Hakata) last year, I discovered Marufuku never had a location there and is a home grown bay area restaurant chain. Minor nits. Dirty seats. Crumbs from the previous customers were not wiped off the seats. They wiped the tables and slide the food crumbs down to the floor and cushioned seats again the wall. Gnats are hovering over my table. I had to swat them away a few times. It was annoying.

I dined at Marufuku Ramen in Serramonte earlier today and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Upon arrival, I was seated immediately with no wait, and the service throughout was attentive and welcoming. I ordered the karaage and the Tonkotsu Hakata DX. The ramen featured a rich, well-developed broth with deep umami character, though it leaned slightly on the saltier side for my taste. That said, the noodles and toppings were well-executed and complemented the dish nicely. The standout for me was the karaage—perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy within. The accompanying sauce struck an excellent balance of sweet and savory, elevating the dish even further. The restaurant itself is thoughtfully decorated, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Overall, a solid spot for ramen with a few standout items that make it worth a visit.
